LOL. I'm both a Titans and Vols fan and it's not sitting well with me. Especially considering we just lost to NE 59-0. Imagine Kiffin busting out an old Wuerffel jersey at a charity event...:eek:lol: I can't even picture it. Kiffin is way to hardcore for that.

Manning plays in the same division, on a team that beats Fisher's Titans out for the division championship every year. Would Andy Reid wear an Eli Manning jersey onstage in Philadelphia to make a guest feel welcome?

It's harmless pandering, but it's pandering. I'd be annoyed if I were a Titans player.

Honestly, I can't find anything at all wrong with it. He respects Dungy, he respects Manning. Apparently I'm missing something.

A paid employee of one organization should never wear a competitors jersey. Its disrespectful to the people who are putting food on your table and the players you are there to lead. .

Why is everybody acting like Jeff Fisher just wore a FL jersey? Im pretty sure Peyton Manning didnt go to Bammer or FL. He is loved by everyone in TN, and if you still had hope for the Titans this year it should be that they get a top draft choice and pick another TN legend in Berry or a decent QB.

amazing how Fisher wanted nothing to do with UT when the Oilers first arrived in TN. I guess 0-6 makes people do strange things...

Is this really that hard to understand? The Titans and Colts are division rivals. Fisher wearing a Manning jersey is the same as Kiffin wearing a Tebow jersey. It's disrespectful to his boss, players, and fans. If he wants to feel like a winner, maybe he shouldn't put such a pathetic excuse for a football team on the field.

Please dont compare Peyton Manning and a Florida rival. Titans season is over. I watch every Titan game and this just didnt bother me. Peyton is a hometown hero and the Titans are 0-6. I can see everyone else's point if they didn't like it, but this just wasn't a big deal to me.

It's different isn't it? Peyton graduated from UT he's a local Hero. Tebow isn't. The NFL is different, 2 years from now peyton could be wearing a titan jersey (technically speaking of course lol) right?

Of course it plays well with the fanbase, which is why Fisher did it. But Manning isn't a hometown hero to everybody in that locker room. If I were one of his players and I saw him walk out wearing the jersey of the guy who's been kicking our arses and winning the division every year for most of a decade, joking about how he wanted to know what it feels like to be a winner, I think I might be a little aggravated about it.

I don't give a crap about it myself, since I am not an Oilers fan. I'm just mildly surprised that Fisher already feels like he's got to resort to such naked pandering. 0-6 start or not, I thought he'd feel secure than that.

It was a CHARITY EVENT people....you know, a fundraiser for a non-profit organization that HELPS Middle Tennessee youth

it's for the kids people

....if you people (not just those quoted) are really getting pissy about team loyalties at a freaking charity event....you need to sit down and rethink some things
