Thank God, Smart declined, at this point its more likely that I won't be watching college football for a long long time, but regardless I do think this team deserves someone that has actually been a HC and not another saban disciple.

IF we have really been turned down by all these guys then...forget it...let Chaney be the interim for the next year.

I know I'm just as sceptical as you are about another assistant, or another Saban prodigy BUT ...

1.) what's the best part of Tennessee's team? THE OFFENSE

2.) what's the worst? The defense

3.) what's Kirby's current position and where does he rank? Defensive cordinator for the best defense in the country.

4.) what else could UT use? Recruits

5.) who knows the recruits? Kirby damn Smart he has been in the living room of every one of the best defensive players in the country, he knows them.

6.) what wins championahips? Defense

It's a fairly simple philosophy I'm not saying he is the number one cantidate but so many people on here are tore up about losing Charlie strong. Guess what he was? A coordinator for Florida who isn't half as good as Alabama. I say we could get Kirby for 2.5 mil a year on a three year deal and see if he turns it around for us. Just my thoughts don't bash me its just a opinion. Go vols!
