With as inadequate as it has been this year, I think it is time to shake it up and stick with something. Goins/Golden is not working.

Should Goins play less minutes? Should Mcbee replace Golden? Should Bone get his shot?

There might not be a solution to this problem but musical chairs at this position isn't going to work at this point but neither is the regular formula.

goins is the only option at this point...golden is about as bad of a player as I have ever seen and ware should start over him next season...we lost 4 very good players last season...this season is what is is...lets make the tourny, take our loss whenever it happens and work on next season

I wish McRae had the handles to be a PG- he would bring the play-making ability that our current PGs lack. That and he would have to get out of CBP's doghouse.

Honestly...I think that would be better than what we currently have.

The LBJ reference was sarcasm, but the idea behind it had a shred of truth...

He's the only ballhandler who doesn't seem to upset me. As long as he doesn't go LBJ and settle for the jumper (like he did yesterday) I don't really have a problem with it.

Goins is pretty solid. He can really defend and any time he's not in the game it gets nerve wrecking watching Golden or McBee try to run the offense without a) jacking up an ill-advised 3-ball (Golden); and b) turning the ball over because of ball pressure. We really don't have any better option at all. I worry about next year...I think a lot of people will look less harshly on Goins after the suck that will be our PG spot next season. Or maybe Chris Jones will come in and be a terrific freshman for us.

They have guys that can do a little of this and a little of that, but a true point guard isn't there. Bruce is currently in trouble over the one he wanted(Craft) and Shelby went to Kansas. I guess he didn't have much of a back up plan.

What we've got is 3 more games to solve the problem(2 reg season and 1 in SEC) then hope Jones qualifies and is as advertised. There are no pure PGs hiding on the bench on this team.

Problem with Goins is that he wants it in his hands to make a play. He does not understand his capabilities as a playmaker...he ain't a playmaker. Great defense, good ball handler...not playmaker.

I say we put hatvol at the PG position... There is really no solution at this point.
