Truth is always somewhere in the middle. He isn't a great driver and its hurting him this week.

Most guys commenting probably only listen to chamblee on golf channel who acts as if Harmon is the only great teacher.

whether Tiger is in contention or not, he gets leaderboard coverage. No other player gets that. I don't find it exciting. I'd rather watch full coverage of the leaders with an occasional shot from Tiger. If I miss a great shot from Tiger live, big deal. Show it to me afterwards. That's how they treat all the other players that aren't in contention. I continue to believe that the PGA can thrive if they focus the attention on the fact that there are probably 20 stars who have a shot to win week in and week out instead of all Tiger 24/7. This thread is a perfect example. Today should be all about the crazy low round that Jason Dufner just put up. But instead, it's all about Tiger

Because people like talkin about tiger good or bad.

Dufner is dull and everybody was going low.

They said on XM golf coverage, he went straight to the range and started hitting drivers...that he was probably putting driver in play for the weekend..

then said for him to have any shot it would take 65, 65 with help from the current leaders coming back to him

True. I didn't really understand the number of people who tune in to watch Tiger until I saw a ton of comments about how boring the British Open was. I guess they didn't care they were witnessing an epic final round from Phil.

I agree with golf fans who complain when they have to watch every shot of a 70 from Tiger on a day like today. Phil gets a lot of coverage, but it doesn't even compare when he's not in contention. Even when Tiger's out of it, they'll give a full round recap.

He was working with Foley on the range, hit quite a few drivers.

Of course they show every shot and give a recap. He's possibly the most compelling athlete on planet earth.

I think the guy is probably a complete jerk, but to think about the fact that he's basically doubled the win total of the second most successful golfer of his era is mind boggling.

Been fortunate enough to play Riviera and East Lake and it reminds me of them.

I like that they still use them, and it requires the players to keep it in the fairway

Looking like we're going to have a pretty good finish. It would be awesome if I could see it right now, but DirectTV goes out around here when it starts to sprinkle.

You don't have an HD antenna? I switch to antenna for sports, the picture is better.
