How about our boy Urbie with an SOS north of 100? Geez. And people are saying OSU takes a run at the NC? Guess that's why they run through the big 10 unscathed and then have their arses handed to them vs any (except Pansybilt and KY) SEC team in a bowl game. Oh well.

:lolabove: Yeah and they play Western Ky,Miami of Ohio,Alabama St.,Louisville. We play Austin Peay,Western Ky,Oregon,S.Alabama,Auburn. The rest of the season Tenn and Kentucky plays the same teams. Kentucky plays Alabama in Lexington and we play at Alabama. So how come we are in the 20s and Kentucky is 1 on SOS?

Because a weak team playing against Alabama has a VERY high strength of schedule.

If Tennessee was #1, it would mean that they were godawful, so every opponent was difficult.

I nearly choked on my lunch when I saw Akron was ranked as the #7 most difficult schedule. That's when I knew this ranking is completely bogus--they play James Madison, Bowling Green, Ball State, Northern Illinois, UCF, Kent State, and Toledo. The only decent team they play is Michigan, yet Steele ranks them higher than Tennessee, who plays Oregon, Florida, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, etc.????

He factors in how good the team itself is. Akron blows, so that's tough.

Telling ones are teams like Va Tech. They're on pace to be as bad as last season and are over 100.

These are the NCAA's #s, not Steele's. They are simply basing this on last years's record.

It's worth pointing out that UK plays a 5-7 team that UT doesn't, and UT gets a 2-10 team instead.

What's the difference both teams are still big losers.
