Does Kiffin's system utilize the TE in the passing game? Other than Witten, TE has been a ghost man for UT in the past..... and Ive never really understood why.

Yes he does. I am a Raider Fan. Expect lots of throws to the TE and the RBs. He likes to pass to both then use speed WRs to go for the big home run not always throwing deep but over the middle on a cross once the LBS are going out to defend passes to the RBs and FBs. He drafted a TE high just for this purpose. He runs the ball a lot as well. He needs three runners in his system. A bruiser must be one. Trust me get ready baby. He is going to make defenses hurt when they play us. It is not G-gun/trick play BS. He comes at you and plays the numbers. Few turnovers. Now if he had a better QB at Oakland he might have done more with WRs but he is a smart guy he plays with what he has.

Let me just put this in statistical perspective Kiffin was 6th in the NFL in rushing with an awful line. He left they cannot rush the ball. What college team was having trouble rushing the ball after Kiffin left...hmmm. The Raiders had the second worst passing attack although they had no line no WRs no QB. But their TE Zach Miller finished as the 16th best TE in the league about midway. Well if you are throwing so little it becomes obvious all the passes were too the TE or RBs. I watched it. It was actually exciting to see a team run that much. Defenses were being punished. He would have thrown I believe if he has any faith in our line but our line is awful so awful. Nightmares thinking about it.

I told everyone about this guy when Tubbs was fired/quit/whatever happened, and nobody paid attention. He is a really good tight end.

Looks like it could come down to Auburn, UT, and SoCar.

You must REALLY be worried about us...every time I get on "our" Vols site, you are always on here sprackin' some nonsense...I for one know that I have never wasted my time getting on a USCjr site...are you guys that pathetic that you can't entertain yourself on your own teams site?! Seems like you know where the real team resides...

There are a couple Vols on the gamecocks site along a lot of Clemson Tigers (of course) and a few other teams. It's just cool to hear stuff from another team's perspective sometimes and also to hear and discuss news for other teams.

True enough. But there's always that one guy with a Napoleonic complex that just spouts off nonsense because he's not intelligent enough to do otherwise.

Fair enough...but if you are going to participate, at least contribute to the conversation with rational views...ihateorange is one short away from a blown fuse box...his input is :crazy:at best...you get my drift.

This cat visited Bama on Friday. He will apparently have official visits to Bama, UT and Florida in January....

Why are we not discussing this cat more? Isn't he the #3 TE in the Nation? Doesn't Kiffin utilize TE in his O?

Yeah...Florida is gonna sell him on the Flex TE position that Hernandez and Ingram make awesome. I'm pretty sure they'll get him.

"He's unofficially visited Florida twice since his commitment to the Tigers and said that Florida, Alabama and Tennessee are the most likely destinations for his final three official visits.

He himself told the AJC that Florida has everything he could want in a college, except that he doesn't quite feel comfortable in Gainesville. When GBN asked him about that comment, he basically said that UF doesn't have a southern feel to it. For a young man who is looking for comfort level above all else, that seems like a pretty steep mountain for the Gators to climb.

Chances are: If the Gators can get him on campus for an official visit and put his mind at ease as to whether or not he fits in, Florida stands a pretty good chance. That's asking a lot however when he has several other top notch offers including Alabama and Tennessee. Considering there are 4-5 programs legitimately under consideration, UF's chances are around 20%. If UGA jumps in the mix, that percentage goes down considerably."
