I would have like to seen what Taylor coulda become. He's from the Tampa area and a local sports talk guy, Miami alum, really like Taylor and was pissed when he went to UT because Taylor showed interest in the U.

Phillips was bad news.. on and off the field. He wasn't going to make it because of drugs and grades. Trouble is he influenced Taylor...Two Florida boys who started running around "OFF THE FIELD" and went south in a hurry..Shame for Taylor because it seems like Phillips was bad influence on him...

Bonner it seems is just a thug, pure and simple...He'll probably end up somewhere...Just not a d-1 school...

The only loss here is Taylor. Thought he had a chance to do contribute. Bonner was always a reach and like most reaches didn't pan out.

So, does that mean we can sign 3 more kids in this class or that we just have 3 more scholarships to offer?

Kick rocks. Can't wait to see how he recruits. Because that is exactly what Butch is doing here. Out with the garbage, it with the prospects.

You average around 3.2 posts per year. That seems crazy to have been on VN for upwards of 6 years.

This isn't really anything new is it. Haven't they all been separated from the program for some time

Bonner is the biggest loss talent wise, and was a desperate hot seat gamble. Philips was a tub of goo when he arrived.
Taylor? Better to cut ties now than down the road i guess.
May not be the last. Personnel evaluations are going on now. Joe Harrington is working fast and furious getting film clips on each player for the coaches to review.

Was the 2012 Recruiting class the worst in Tennessee History?

Gone - Bonner, Taylor, Gray, Phillips, Bourque

Two Stiffs - Kicker (Bullock), Gray Shirt (Thomas)

Only 15 Scholarship Players!! God Dooley was horrible!!

Bullock is a "stiff" because he broke his leg? Thomas is a "stiff" because he gray shirted?

Where did you see that Gray had actually quit?

This is why we can't stay ahead of Vandy, much less compete with Alabama. This years senior class had 11 members. Next years senior class is currently has 12 members, and we need to hope we can hold on to all of them. The lack of upperclassmen depth has been killing us.

Starting a band

Nope... personal injury law firm. They are buying out Benjarvus Green Ellis.

In a side note i heard an interview with Crosby Stills Nash and Young saying they picked their name because it made them sound prestigious like a law firm. TIFWIW.

That move is ok by me. Bonner and Phillips were both talents with problems. So a gamble. And Taylor was a reach...a big reach.

How in the world was Taylor a reach?? He was a good prospect coming out of HS

My take on the recruiting class is CBJ has a 7 year contract which gives him much more leverage than CDD had, so go get them BUTCH....bring them to Orange Country..

I thought Bonner and Taylor was players to fill the gaps...Never thought Phillips would ever work out...and his tweet...1st decision was his best...UF didnt want him with grade issues...Didnt his DAD say he would be in great shape when he arrived...because he was training him...that was a joke.
