When someone, who obviously is not your friend and isn't at all concerned with an amenable outcome, finishes what they are saying with, "my friend." As in, "I don't care if if you have your receipt or not, I'm not giving you a refund, my friend." It makes me want to give them a high five..........in the face..........with a chair.

Boss: 'At this point in time, I'd like to thank each and every one of you.'

First of all, that was redundant - twice. I also find it disingenuous.

I don't want a boyfriend right now.

This was used when I asked a girl out from my community college.
Its a lameass way off avoiding giving a straight forward answer of no in response to the straight forward question of being asked out, and in response to will you go out with me was a assumption that it meant will you be my girlfriend instead of the straight forward question to this woman.

I was very pissed off I didn't get a straight forward answer.
I saw her why she didn't tell me no to which she said she did tell me no. She did but not in those words.

Also gave her the wise advice next time your not interested in a guy just tell him in a straight forward manner no instead of sending him in circles.

I'm not ugly.
I am a attractive man, and there is a moral from this.
Don't call someone ugly when you don't have a damn clue of how they look like without having seen a picture, or pictures.

He was just making a joke.

Or he secretly stalks you in real life.

Maybe the girls wish you had a sense of humor?

That whole "you know what happens when you assume" thing. It's idiotic to begin with, was never really funny (sorry, Felix) and hearing people throw it around now like they're being clever makes me assume they're half a dumb***.
