The thing that drives me nuts is whenever pitchers throw one right down the middle. It’s not just college, but I see it happen all the time in the majors as well. 0-2 is suppose to be a pitch to make the batter expand their zone and make them swing at something they don’t want to.Not with our staff, but have you guys noticed how many pitchers struggle when they go up 0-2 this season.
It’s become a “get cute” count where you’re more likely do see 4 straight balls than an eventual strike out.
It doesn’t help that there are a ton of umpires who will never call a batter out on third pitch looking
