I have 2 extra tickets to the Cal game to give away for free. No, they're not on the 50 yard line. They are in Section XX2. They're not the greatest of seats, but they beat "no seats at all."

Pick a number between 1 and 50, and if you guess correctly, then you can have these 2 tickets.

Rules:

You can only guess ONE time.

Your name cannot be Hatvol96 (that's an inside joke between Hat and I) :hi:

If there is no clear cut winner before the end of August, then we'll try something else.

I feel very grateful to have received these extra tickets at no cost to me, so I will give them away, naturally, at no cost.

And can we please have a Volnation tailgating spot or spots before the Cal game?

I want to meet each and every one of you.

My thought would be that we should solicit everyone's favorite pregame spot, then select a different one for each game. Maybe pick them before the Cal game.

That's what I think, too. But getting this crew together to agree on something, stick with it, and seeing it actually happen may just be a miracle.

Just kidding, sort of.

But we should make a plan, have it in place ATLEAST a week or 2 before the Cal game, and cross our fingers that most of us will show up.

Count me in, plus whoever wins the Cal tickets.

I'm not sure when I'm flying in, but I would certainly attend.

One thing we need to ascertain is when everyone comes to town. If everyone is around on Friday evening we could things started early.

Where do you propose the Nation go on Friday night?

I haven't been in Knoxville since last October, so I don't know how the "scene" has changed since then.

We'll make it easier on you.

The correct answer is a # worn by a UT football player.

Since it's a # between 1 and 50, that narrows it down to only 1/2 of the football team.

I still have my condo downtown, so I spend a lot of time at the Downtown Grill and Brewery. The bars on Market Square are doing alright. You can't go wrong stopping in at Chesapeake's either. Greg White's places, Nama and La Costa, are top notch as well.

I spent alot of my time at the Brewery when I was there. Chesapeake's is where my parents go before and/or after every game.

I'm not familiar with Nama or La Costa. I'll have to check them out.

La Costa is brand new. Nama has been up and running for awhile, but it's still a fairly recent addition to the downtown scene.
