I suck at it anyway. 17 years and counting, so...
Just win the damn game. 10-2 is a great season 2 for this staff, despite the defense.
Milton steps in and plays to his potential. Offense hangs 40+ on the board. Defense shows up. We win a night game on the road. At this point, I'll take a win against Vandy. The alternative is simply too ugly to even consider.
We need a bowl win to close out. Don't care who it's against. Just win it. This is big for recruiting.
Then go get a solid DC and DB coach. Keep RG on the line. Or make him the DC. I don't care, just upgrade.
The '22 season isn't over, but at this point the next 2 games are building for '23. So make them count. I care less about our final ranking than I do what our '23 staff and recruiting classes look like, so keep your eyes on what really counts moving forward. Once the season's over, your ranking is a matter of history. Make the right changes; close out strong in recruiting; and let's keep our focus down the road, instead of on what might have been.
We had a shot at the brass ring this year. Whether we were ready for it or not is a matter of debate, but the fact is that we were weighed, measured, and found wanting, in a big way, against USCe. It was a hard lesson, and we need to take it to heart and learn from it.
Change that which needs to be changed, and never forget how it felt to be that close, and fall short.
Go Vols.
