Be nice but I feel like this team is just too inconsistant to win 5 post season games in a row. Hope I'm wrong.

I will be happy as long as we show improvement in our zone offense and we do not lose to somebody playing zone defense.

Zjc

Are we going to take anybody else in this upcoming class? We need and outside shooter really bad.

I can't say I don't have this concern as well. I hope they do put a run in though.

That would be sweet! I doubt that we can win five in a row, but that would be sweet. One game at a time.

I think Miami will win it... We will probably have to play them in our bracket.

This team had a golden opportunity to make the dance, after playing their ass off to get into that position, only to fall flat on their face. If we have to face a team that zones us the entire game, we are history. Not one consistent outside threat on the entire team. Teams that can control Maymon and Stokes inside will beat us pretty easily.

not ZJC but i can answer your question. We are currently pursuing, to the best of my knowledge, two players for the '12 class.

1) Phillip Nolan, PF, 3 star on ESPN
2) Fabyon Harris, PG, JUCO

Harris is big time with lots of high major interest/offers (Kansas, Ohio State, etc.)

Nolan is a solid post prospect who can play all 3 frontcourt positions.

This is all assuming we have a scholarship open up.

No matter what happens in the Not Important Tournament, CCM still over-acheived with this team, and that can't be overlooked

Yep, that is correct Ox! We have over-acheived this year. CCM is COY in my book.

The NIT is a "who cares" tourney, in my mind. The NCAA tourney is full of weak or mediocre teams who've been ushered into an expanded format merely to make money for CBS and the NCAA--and the NIT is for teams that can't get in the NCAA. A few decent teams are in the NIT, but it's still a yawn--like about 28 of the 30 or so bowl games in football, many of which feature utterly mediocre teams. Post-season play isn't what it used to be, that's for sure. You may be crappy--but if we in TV Land can make a buck off you, you're in!

Couldn't agree more. Heck of a year. They made it a lot of fun to watch.

We just aren't there yet when it comes to playing smart baskettball away from TBA. We handle zone just fine here but I do agree if we do make it ot MSG I will say I have my doubts we can win there until they show me otherwise.

I do echo Fade's comment though, it has been a great season and it is just beginning!

Nobody is making you watch it. So why comment on it? We are playing, if you are a fan of this University, just be glad you get to watch some more basketball. If you can't stand to watch this team play, please go root for Kentucky with all the other bandwagon fans. It is that simple.

I disagree. Outside of the 1/16, 2/15, 3/14 games, nearly every game has the potential to be exciting. The major upsets are part of the excitement.

Durand Scott, one of Miami's two premeire guards, has been suspended indefinitely for receiving impermissible benefits from former Canes coach Frank Haith. he may not be available for the NIT. Huge blow to the Canes.
