Other than the Shriner Classic, this season's out of conference schedule is WEAK.

Vitello needs to copy Barnes's scheduling philosophy and beef up future out of conference schedules.

No he doesn’t. The SEC is the best conference in America and it’s not even close. It’s even stronger than the conference is in football. 33-36 games against above average to elite competition is plenty enough for the regular season. Fill in the remaining 20ish games with lesser programs so you get younger guys accustomed to the college game. You never know when injuries will happen or guys are going to turn pro. Would hate to throw a young kid that isn’t ready into shark infested waters.
