I'll admit it. Our defense sucked at that part of the year. Our defensive coordinator completely dropped the ball during those two games and we had to rely on offensive firepower to win those two.

But the bottom line is still the win.

Hey Im still waiting for an explination of the Kentucky and Vandy score, haha. Are yall just that ashamed? Hell, the team you all hate the most allowed only 17 for KY. The only reason why I keep pushing this is because you all think you are the **** when you had a high scoring game against a team that lost to Rutgers.

Look Yay Vols, nobody is going to tell you we are proud of those games. We played like crap we will be the first to admit it. How in the world our defese gave up that many points is beyond me. The only explantion is that we weren't ready to play. But we managed to win. How's that? Even the best teams have games against lesser teams that they lose or almost lose. Every team has them. Kind of like a Northern Illinios.

I am not believing a fan of a 6-6 team is trying to talk smack to a team that went 10-3 and beat his team on their own board........

To add to their comments, Tennessee was doing something that Alabama and thier fans can't understand, because it has been so long....but they had already clinched a spot in the SEC CG, and they were just coasting on in to Atlanta.

You know, that's the game you watched from home, where both teams playing in it beat your team.

See thats all I wanted to know...in all honesty I didnt know what happened so I wanted an explanation from someone who might of! I know I keep pushing the injury status but you all have to admit that if we had Brodie in that fumble wouldnt have occured the first...MINUTE? of dern game and therefor we would have had the win. Whats done is done I understand, yay yall won. I just wanted to see if anyone would even admit that if we had Brodie a Tide victory more than likely would have happened.

Please...explain to me why Im wrong this time and that having our starting QB who is a God figure compared to Pennington or Guillon who could have possibly won the game for us.

When "if's" and "but's" are candy and nuts, we'll all have a merry Christmas.

I could very well go and blame our defensive woes against Vantucky in '04 on injuries, because our secondary had plenty of them, but I won't. I just say we played terrible.

the last two seasons have been great games that could have gone either way. I know Bama fans think Brodie would have been the difference but that's impossible to say. We may have been better prepared for that. With that said I don't think he could have done any worse, that's for sure.

Brodie Croyle has done NOTHING so far. I think that he will be average at best next year. He will look great in your alls eyes because face it, anything is better Pennington.

I guess you all are high on Croyle because you beat Tennessee in 2002 when we had to play our third string due to all the injuries. I wouldn't get too excited about next year...

Would you be willing to say then that Tennessee would have beaten Notre Dame if Schaeffer wouldnt have been hurt, and Ainge wouldn't have gotton hurt and then therefore, the Clausen INT returned for a TD wouldnt have happened, and then Tennessee would have won, and then when they played Auburn again, Tennessee would have won that game too, because they would have had thier two big playmakers, and then instead of playing A&M the Vols would have been in the BCS probably playing Va Tech, and they would have been able to beat them too, and ended up being ranked 2nd after all the bowls...........

Yeah.....see how silly all that "if our QB wouldnt have gotton hurt" nonsense is?

Bottom line, your coach and your team should have been ready to play with your back-up. God knows Tennessee was. They were ready to play with their thirdstringer, which is what Bama ended up using as well. It just shows which coaching staff and team was better prepared, and which one relied too much on their starter.

Well hey you cant say "dont get to excited" because really anything can happen. You are correct with the Brodie statement about how we are all high hopes for him because of his damn injuries and having to replace him with a 3rd stringer. Luckily we did get 16th preseason ranking and they attributed that to Brodie as well. Athlon sports if you were wondering about where I got the number from.

Tennessee is deeper than Bama. I don't think anyone will argue with that.

Speaking of Athlon Sports, has anyone seen their magazine in stores? I went looking for it the other day and couln't find it.

I give Brodie more credit than most Tennessee fans.

IF he stays healthy, there is NO REASON Tennessee won't be playing you twice this season, unless Brodie beats a Tennessee team that loses to UF or UGA and knocks them out of the EAST division Championship.

I think Brodie will play very well for Alabama this season. But I don't see Alabama winning the SEC. (Course in 2001, I didnt see LSU winning it either.)

Hell dude I will give it to you..we WERENT prepared and everyone knew that. The bigger disappointment was that we dont know why Shula did what he did with Pennington. Trust me...we had a crappy backup and unfortunetly that game was a prepared game when it came to the QB. And all I was talking about was one play. But yes, to your Brent and Ainge comments, thats exactly what I was saying. B)

We won the game.

Are you that much of a complete moron to realize that even National Title teams struggle against lesser teams?

I would start to go down the list of Ohio State, USC, and others but normal logic probably would go over your head.

Hell, can you even read what I am writing? That may be a graduate course at Bama

I will compare academics to Alabama anytime of the year.

I work over several Bama graduates right now and even they laugh at Alabama and education being used in the same sentence.

But hey, what do they know? :thefinger: :thefinger: :thefinger:

So the fact that The University of Alabama produced..is it 5 or 6 USA Today Academic Team means nothing right??? UT produced nada. Not even an honorable mention...in fact UA had more students represented than Harvard, Yale, and Princeton...UA must be full of morons eh? Im sure you can say the exact same thing for UT when it comes to grad students. :thefinger: :thefinger: :thefinger: :thefinger:

Let me be the first to say CONGRADULATIONS TO ALABAMA.

First in their own minds of being the SMARTEST AND BRIGHTEST OF THE SEC.

Yet still being the butt of most jokes in the entire country when it comes to SEC Football.
