why shut it down anyway they should just pay the ransom ? The FBI has always been incompetent when it comes to cyber crimes

No one said Covid was "Trump's fault." But he had months to formulate a plan and instead of doing so when told of the effects of proper steps to take he rejected the science and minimized it. He showed incredibly poor judgment in doing so, motivated by the desire to keep the economy going even if it cost tens of thousands of lives.

Even as it got worse, Trump doubled down on his denial of what was right in front of him.

Don't see how that equates to this situation.

It's the NYT, have you seen the price in NYC - to them there hasn't been a price hike and our lines are not any longer than they see every day.....that's what a state run by dem learn to expect.....

Both sides need it because 75% of the population simply believes what they are told to believe by the media, significant others, friends, family etc. Without the ignorant masses, who knows how these elections would turn out.

From what I read today, the attack gained entry through Microsoft Exchange email servers that had out of date service packs. Colonial pipeline company must be run by total idiots to even have and kind of connection between their production system and an email server.
