The new model of development which has increasingly won over central, and eastern Eurasian countries as well as Greece and Italy have provided a breath of fresh air for citizens everywhere who are looking with despair upon a Trans-Atlantic system which can do nothing but demand obedience to a defunct set of rules that commands only austerity, hyperinflationary banking practices and no long term investment into the real economy. Thus the technocratic mobilization against the BRI over the past days in response to this new paradigm can only be seen as an absurd attempt to save a system which has already failed.

Quoting Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte, The Telegraph describes massive pushback against a new Hungarian law which seeks to prevent the public promotion of homosexuality and transgenderism in front of children and minors:

Mark Rutte, the prime minister of the Netherlands, said Hungary either "must leave" the EU or repeal the law, which bans TV shows and other content seen as championing LGBT lifestyles for the under-18s.
However, some eastern European governments refused to join 17 of the bloc’s 27 countries in a rare joint statement condemning a fellow member state.​

The government banning depiction of gays in programming for kids under 18 seems to be the conservative version of woke. "Oh no! My traditional family values! Better make sure no kids are exposed to gays!"

But wait... more countries will leave? Then that means the coup in Ukraine was a wasted effort then. That was the entire motivation for turning over that country... bringing it into the EU and closer to the west.

So forgive me if I'm off-base on these assumptions but what I'm hearing is a small-government minority saying that another minority should not be able to be seen by children on TV by government decree. And also that I sound like a pedophile for thinking otherwise.

Being black and being gay are not the same. The definition of gay is based on a sexual relationship with the same gender. Kids do not need to be exposed to that subject matter until they are mature enough to deal with it as an adult.

In the same way that the definition of straight is based on a sexual relationship with the opposite sex; I'm assuming you have no problem with kids seeing straight people on TV though. Seeing gay people on TV is not the same as seeing gay sex on TV, wouldn't you agree? I think kids can handle the idea that two men or two women can love each other in the same way that a man and a woman do.

IHeterosexuality is more natural and more common. I have no issue with seeing hetero relationships on TV for teens similar to what we saw on "Saved By The Bell". But with regards to homoexuality, just don't see why there is a push by the left to push that agenda on to kids... unless the point is to have kids ask questions about something that provocative and stir up curiosity.

Surely you see how weak this argument is. Taking this logic to its inevitable conclusion, we'd not be able to show anything but the most common condition on TV to kids so as to not stir up their imagination. Which means no black people on TV, at least in the U.S. And you're okay with the government enforcing it, which shows how committed you actually are to keeping government out of issues they shouldn't be meddling in.
