Anyone know of any really nice places to propose? I'm thinking something more outdoors like but I'm open to anything. I don't care to pay for a set up or something like that. Any ideas guys?

The question is, what does she like doing?

And make it centric to that.

Otherwise, I'd suggest doing it at the Outback Bowl

If you don't care to pay..... You don't care and that is what she will see and tell her friends for years. Believe me.....

Don't do it at the Outback Bowl. Please no.

If you plan on going, maybe on the beach or something if that's your thing...but not at the game.

Any place will be memorable as she will love you no matter what. Women tend to remember the sentimentality of the situation not the setting. Or so my wife has told me. We will have been married for 14 years the 28th of this month. Don't over think the situation itself.

Don't listen to this guy.......

Actually do listen. If she's the type that would complain then you'll still be able to call it off before the wedding. Of course she's also unlikely to be the type to give the ring back but that's cheaper than a bad marriage

Thanks for all the replies everyone... Nobody said she feels like she needs some extravagant proposal I just like to do things big some times. It's a once and a lifetime (hopefully) thing and I want it to be special, and DIFFERENT.... My first idea was to take a heli ride over Neyland, and have Will you marry me? Spelled on the field with little plates or something. Can't get in touch with anyone I can beg to make that happen so on to the next idea..

That's great but is it something she would want? I would guarantee she's thought about the moment a whole lot longer than you. Do it for her

I don't know how to highlight that last part, but agree completely.

Just make her one of these (a paper fortune teller) and ask her what's most important to her?

She will choose "happiness" and when she opens it as shown below have the questions be "do you love me... yes?", "do you love me... no?" and two others of your choice. If she doesn't choose the one that is "do you love me... yes?", then it's good to find out before you propose? :)

But she will obviously choose that option, and when she opens it the next question should be "then will you marry me?"

Simple as that. She will obviously be focused on getting to the next question, so you can quickly pull out the ring and have it in your hand when she looks back up at you with her endearing, loving, joyful, and tearful eyes.

You're welcome.

I proposed to my wife during a Emerald Princess cruise on formal night at the champagne waterfall in front of 3000 other cruisers. I was so nervous I could've puked! She thought we was on it just for her birthday.

Find a bridge. Bridges are great places to propose. If she says no, just threaten to jump.
