Those ibex hop up and down those cliffs like it's nothing. That's insane for a four legged, hoofed animal. The bobcat scenes were great. I laughed when he jumped into the snow and face planted and just sat there. The scene where he tries to catch the duck and then they show the ducks as if they're laughing at him. The first bear they showed scratching his back on the tree I couldn't help but sing in my head "look for the bear necessities, the simple bear necessities..."

Every thing about the Mountains episode was great. The ibex on the mountains, the eagles fighting aver the carcass, the bears scratching, the bobcat hunting... all great moments.

Fell behind a few episodes. Just watched Jumgles. The male Jaguar that pulled the Caiman Alligator out of the water with relative ease was insane.

Grasslands was really good. I have no idea how they got those shots of the mouse or the elephants. It looks like they mounted a camera on the elephant almost but I don't see them doing that on a wild elephant. Just insane.

I was wondering the same thing about some of the shots with the wolves. From some angles it looked as if they were in a helicopter, but I would think the noise would distract the animals. So maybe a drone?

I just don't know how they can get in these environments without the animals running away, or worse have them attack the crew.

I read that they relied heavily on drone and remote motion-triggered cameras.

This is being released in 4K Ultra HD disc format. Would love to watch it in true 4K but I don't plan on getting the next gen disc players. Blu-ray came out about the same time streaming was taking off. In the 7 years I've had a blue ray player I've probably only watched less than 10 Blu-ray Discs. Netflix has the first one so maybe they will get this one in 4K.

The "Cities" episode was quite impressive.

Cities was very good. The making of Planet Earth II was awesome. Very entertaining and informative to watch. The guy hiding behind the wall of elephant grass to film the tiger had serious balls. The shot of the African trees when they were looking for the Locusts was incredible.
