Plavsic departing

Do folks realize how many points he costed the team last year with his nonsense and cheap fouls ?
Do you have a number? I’m guessing it’s probably a lot fewer than you’d think. They stick in your mind because they’re memorable and emotional but I’d guess it probably comes out to less than 20 for the year and a decent chunk of those were pretty dubious calls after he developed a reputation with the officials. I’d definitely rather have the points but I don’t think it really hurt the team as much as people say. We didn’t have that many one possession games

I dont think its the direct points but the indirect points he cost us. Think how different the game was called just because of his ignorant play. We were called for so many touch fouls that it put us in the penalty many times faster than we should. His free throwing shooting became an instant turnover. I liked him and i admit i rooted for him to succeed. But near the end i was ready for this moment to see him moving on. I wish him well but we need 7 footers who play with their feet and hands not their bullyball attitude.

TN lands an actual 7 footer about once a decade. Boerwinkle. Kosmalski. Brykalski. Hamer. Uros. So let’s also demand that he does EVERYTHING at a high level as well. That one free throw per game that Plavsic missed sure ruined the season.

If he’s going to be labeled as always being out of control and fouling opponents, how many times did he cause opposing big men to also foul? And how often was he their best player? The staff knows and that no doubt was a huge reason that they kept giving him minutes.

I enjoyed watching him develop and played with full effort and emotion. He supported other sports, like baseball. I suspect Kesling is happy that he doesn't have to pronounce his name on the radio again .... His last name or heck first name for that matter!

If he had produced more on the court, I think more people would love the antics. That being said, good luck to him with whatever he ends up doing.
See Ron Slay for confirmation. Obviously not the same as Uros but lots of antics there. He was awesome!
