Play 2009 Titans GM......what would you do?

teams make bad decisions like that all the time. the panthers just after going to the super bowl traded Will Witherspoon to the Rams...where he's still starting at MLB.......and they resigned Dan Morgan to a big $$ contract. i think they'd like to have that to do over again.

the steelers let Faneca walk this past off season, and this year's O line in Pittsburgh, despite the record, has been awful. I know for a fact Big Ben would like to have him on his line.

the key now for the Titans is not fix something that isn't broken.

I think the Steelers wanted to keep Faneca, but couldn't because of the money he would demand.

yeah, that's correct. but he had proven to be worth it over his career. the steelers just did what they always do. they let Randle El, Plax, Faneca, Porter etc...all walk. they aren't one for teh big money........even if it might be deserved.

the porter thing worked out because James Harrison is the guy that took his place. at the time, people were upset about Porter leaving. not so much now. Oddly enough, if i'm the Steellers GM, the one thing i know i need is a bonafied WR threat. Ward is getting older, Washington is inconsistent, HOlmes is a nice WR, but..........they miss that big tall guy that can run. i expect them to address that, OL and DB in the off season.

You guys picked up Limas Sweed. Give him some time to try to develop and then file it in.

The only thing that would worry me is the longevity of his wrist, as well as reports that he isn't a very physical blocker on perimeter runs.

All said... he's been compared to Plax in his size/strength/athleticism but doesn't seem to have the attitude of Plax.

Who?

Get rid of LenDale White? Are you kidding?

Excuse me...:) Couldn't remember how to spell his name!

And no I am not kidding...how many times has he cost us a score this year because of his inability to hold onto the football?

Titans really need a good QB. Collins is decent but has almost as many INTs ad TD's. Also very much needed would be a few good WR. Maybe calvin johnson would get sick of playing for the awful lions and come here. I would like to since Vince Young involved somehow.

oh yeah........Sweed. he's a rookie that has played like a rookie. he hasn't proved to be an effective pass catcher, and hell, i think he has more holding penalties than he does catches.......

He has 1 Fumble/1 Fumble lost this year. Your argument has no base.

LenDale White != Arian Foster

Burress wasn't hot his first year either.

The late first round pick figures to be a WR.

It would be nice to get the next Bulluck in the house.

Another promising DE would be fantastic.

Another OT...

A couple more for depth at secondary.

Albert won over the owner, he'll get paid.

Someone wanted to ditch Brandon Jones, bad idea. He's going to be a go to guy. Lavelle Hawkins shows promise as well. McCareins is a waste of time. Trade him.

I doubt it. After Kevin Dyson, I doubt Bud drafts another 1st Round WR. Titans seem to want to be Defense first unless they're really sold on a guy (Like CJ)

You and me both. Bulluck has a lot of intangibles that would be really hard to project. That's his defense.

Another promising DE would be fantastic.
I think Jason Jones (kinda like Tuck for the Giants) and William Hayes are both good pickups from last years draft.

Another OT...
For depth, yes. Stewart and Roos will be there for years pending injury.

A couple more for depth at secondary.
Like OT, for depth only. Hope, Griff and Finn are solid.

As he should.. top guy in the league at his postion and is the anchor of the Defense.

Stop complaining about the Titans name. If you don't know it's meaning, you should read up on it. Or, should I tell you.

Nashville, because it has many universities in the city, is known as the "Athens of the south" The titans were large giant creatures, imposing and immortal. The titans were an essential part of Athenian and Greek mythology. Thus, the Titans name was born.

Go back to public school. See post 13.

resign Haynesworth and draft Mathew Stafford

Too much money already invested in collins and young...there's no way they want to invest another huge deal in another first round qb (that's alot of money tied up), especially when they have bigger needs at WR, CB, and possibly DT

they will eventually address the qb issue, but this is not the year for it

Then they'd have to scrap their logo as well.

I think having a problem with the name is pretty asinine. I would rather them drop the Oiler's baby blue colors.

i have to admit, i did like the dark blue jerseys and white pants better

I hope they draft another WR as they need one, but after the failures of Joey Kent, Kevin Dyson, and Tyrone Calico at becoming pros, they tend to stay away from 1st round WRs as picks

They hope that Hawkins will develop like mason right now seems to be their MO

And yet that already makes him better than justin McCairens

I just find the baby blue pants and white jersey to be a bit of a weird combo.

Speaking of jerseys, I wish they would go with the white jersey and white pants. I like the dark blue jerseys with the dark blue pants also.

I think the only guy who likes the baby blues is Thornton... who was a Tarheel, so go figure.
