Players discuss last year vs this year.

I watched the players's interviews on the Full Disclosure podcast and it seems to me that the players did not have a lot of respect for Kellie Harper.
I talked about this on the CKH fired thread. I know two big-time donors (no I can’t tell you their names) who told me that the lack of faith and respect grew over time. I see this as a weakness in leadership. But in CKH’s defense, she was tasked with being Pat, and of course, no one can be. I saw her confidence eroded over her tenure. The pressures were too much. And before anyone says that she should have known before signing on, yeah, but it’s so much more complicated.

CKC or CKH?

For the players, psychologically, their identity as Lady Vols is now being determined by what they are practicing and doing on the court in CKC's style of play.

Last year their identity was still being determined by how well they (and their coaches) carried on the successes the legendary Pat Summitt achieved, most before they were born.

Good honest post, thanks for that. Yes it was just time to make a change and DW, IMO, did the right thing in separating the program from the Pat legacy. No disrespect meant by that but for the reasons stated in the above post about the pressure to be Pat because you played for her.

Its a new and needed direction change for the program. Hope all can join in.
