Playing time: Nkauhoma, Powell, and BHH

Agreed. He is underutilized IMO. No way Bailey should be getting minutes ahead of Powell. I've never seen a team with this many decent shooters go stone cold like they do.
Not trying to be a smart aleck, but it happens nightly across the country. You follow Tennessee and your perception is skewed based upon your fandom. So is mine. Very few of us follow college basketball regularly enough across all levels to get all the details because time doesn’t allow. But, good shooting teams get cold, sometimes everyone at once. The very nature of 3-point shooting lends itself to the hot and cold phenomena. UT will be okay.

What is going on with Powell playing time. in Texas Tech game 3 shots eight minutes Previous game went 5 for 5 on three pointers. Why is Victor Bailey starting games? Why so many minutes for Uros Plavsic ? I do not understand why Plavsic and Bailey are playing so much and Powell and Brandon Huntley-Hatfield are playing so little.
IIRC, Powell wasn't 5 for 5 against Colorado. He's riding a 2-game cold streak. While I think we can argue he needs to play more mins than Bailey, we're not at practice and don't know the decision points behind the min distribution.
I believe the end of Powell's mins in the TT game were after he bricked back-to-back 3's on the same possession.

I agree with you to a degree, but we have done it twice in a short period of time. Most good shooting teams might be cold in one half or for a 10 minute stretch, but rarely stay that cold for an entire game (much less two).

It is interesting to note that none of the 4 teams that played that night had good percentages. Syracuse was the best at: fg - 35.7%, 3-pt - 33.3%, and Villanova hit 66.7% of free throws.

I believe we could have adjusted better, but the bottom line is that it is one game.

Playing in something that looked like a high school gym on Saturday to MSG on Tuesday might have had an effect on the shooting as well.
