at #1? Why? Are you saying if GA lost they wouldn't be jumped by an undefeated Mich?

Yes, they wouldn’t have been jumped. If they had a championship game you could make the case but Georgia made another statement in the SECCG.

I’m going to be the biggest Buckeye fan against Georgia but I expect Georgia to win 45-24 or something like that. Georgia basically gets a home game in Atlanta

Possible. Could be like the championship game where OSU returned the opening kick for a TD and then UF boat raced them. UGA is so good but LSU showed a gunslinger can hit stuff on them.

For that outcome to work Harrison Jr needs to set the playoff record for receiving yards and maybe TDs. Shroud hasn’t been the Heisman front runner in weeks and weeks.

I don't think they would have dropped unless Michigan won and Georgia lost then it would have been Michigan 1, Georgia 2.
I think so as well. That is the scenario that would have led to TCU dropping to 4th IMO. I don't believe for a second that avoiding a Mich/OSU rematch in the 1st round was intentional by the committee which is concerning to me. I say if the system is to be honored, you can't manipulate the results. Honestly, I think the old BCS formula with the polls, computer rankings, etc was more honest because the computer generated the rankings based on the data. Humans didn't tweak it to find the matchup they wanted.

I don’t follow OSU. I assume they have 4 and 5 star WRs lurking on the roster. Someone would have to step up.

I would see no way to justify GA #1 and Mich #2 if GA had lost to LSU considering Mich won their conference championship game.

Ohio St has the talent and offense and WR’s and QB to put some points on Georgia unfortunately Georgia is a much more tougher and physical team and we saw what Michigan did to Ohio St last week. If Ohio St. puts it together though they might can put a scare in Georgia

I can't imagine TCU winning this thing, and I can't stomach either of the other 3 winning.

Do you think GA would have dropped out of the #1 spot to 3rd if they had lost? Would GA's resume be better than TCU at that point?
If they both lost they would have dropped to 2. Undefeated Big Ten Champ Michigan would be 1.

So.. Can we at least just stop whining about Alabama?

As for the whining about non-Alabama, these are obviously the right teams. Easy math. In this case you can easily count the L's and you're all set.

It is almost a slam dunk.

The only way Georgia loses is if Stetson Bennett gets confused and thinks Ohio State is like Kentucky or Missouri. I've never seen a QB be so mediocre against average teams and then turn it on against the best competition. It's infuriating.

Passing wise, OSU is really the only team capable of exposing the UGA secondary. I still think UGA wins, but they got the worst first opponent possible for them.
I hate Ohio state, but I hope they thrash Georgia

I think the whole team can get bored. But I noted when you have their attention…first game of year, first SEC game of year, national match up with us, SECCG….all games where they were interested it was no contest.

TCU not dropping at least to the 4th spot proves to me that the committee manipulated the rankings to produce the matchups they wanted. How can TCU lose to a lower ranked team and not drop at all? Clearly the committee wanted to avoid an OSU/Michigan matchup. The chairman claiming it wasn't even discussed is absolute BS.
Of course they did. Its called SEC fatigue. Make UGA beat, not the best team, but the two top teams in the B1G. Bring it.
