Looks to be in the 20s. Will the team be practicing outdoors to get acclimated. Or will this play into our strength of running the ball and (hopefully) bully their O-line? Thoughts?

From East TN,.went to school in Columbus. The only real difference is the wind chill. That place is flat af and the wind whips in there a lot worse than here. Don't get me wrong, we have our days here, but they got that part worse

Other than that, more snow it's roughly the same

If this game was in Cleveland Ohio, it would definitely be a far worse situation

Ohio weather is notoriously unpredictable and volatile in December. Ignore the weather forecast until the 18th. It could very likely change three or four times.

To give you an example, two weeks ago, here in Lake County, Ohio, the forecast three days out was supposed to be lower 50's with a chance for rain. We got an ice storm then three feet of snow and it never got above 28 for four days. Winds took out power for half the area. The snow is now all melted and it was around 60 on Monday. It is now back to the 20's., and all the rain we got yesterday turned the roads into an ice rink.

Have you ever been to Knoxville? Or outside literally almost anywhere in the US outside of Hawaii?

Sounds like what happens here in Tennessee. If you don't like the weather - wait until tomorrow!

The weather part is way overblown. Columbus is slightly colder than Knoxville and gets a little more snow overall. But it isn’t some drastic difference especially in December. I mentioned a few days ago it would be funny if it’s 28 and clear with light wind in Columbus and snow and 30 with 15mph wind out of north in Knoxville with winter storm warnings.😆

You are actually the first person to bring this up since the match up was announced. You might be on to something here....

What Heuple said,

"Not sure what the temperature will be up there at night,” Josh Heupel said. “I know it won’t be sunny and 85 [degrees]. We played in 30-degree weather a week ago.”

“For us, a lot of our practices are in the morning. We’re outside,” Heupel said. “It’ll be similar temperatures to what you’re going to get up there. Our guys got to be able to handle anything that comes at them. That’s weather. It’s outside distractions. It’s us getting ready to go be our best 11 on 11 between the white lines, and we’ll be ready to handle that and operate at a high level.”
