Also, I really like Oakland to push Texas in the West. Wouldn't surprise me if they won the division.

AL East: Sox
AL Central: Sox
AL West: Angels
AL WC: Yanks

NL East: Phillies
NL Central: Reds
NL West Giants
NL WC: Braves (I hope. If you put a gun to my head, I'd pick the Brewers or Rockies.)

ALCS: Yankees/Red Sox (It's about that time again.)
NLCS: Phillies/Giants (for the sake of creativity)

WS: Giants/Yankees (Two cs upsets)

Champ: Giants get their second in a row.

All that being said, Go Braves!

I just don't feel like we have made ourselves better this offseason. Dan Uggla should never have 5+ defensive chances per game. Of course with Uggla, it will be closer to four due to a lack of range. My prediction is that our ERA's go up due to the weaker D.

Twins win the series, just because.

With that rotation, and the most overrated player in baseball not named Jeter, no way they will ever win a series unless they get an ace and power bat.

Disagree completely. Are we a little weaker defensively? Yes. But Uggla's D is overblown. He's pretty decent at turning the double, and most of the time makes the easy play.

Heyward's thumb is 100%. He was going to hit 290/30/100 with a .400 OBP before he was hurt. No reason to think he won't if he stays healthy.

Freeman is a much better defensive player than Glaus. That will help our defense.

Our lineup is stronger, and if Freddie takes the risk and puts Chipper 2nd, while putting Heyward 3rd, the offense will explode IMO.

We also get a healthy Jair Jurrgens, and that is very, very important.

This is a better team.

I think the Rangers chemistry takes a huge hit with the loss of Lee and I don't think Napoli will be a good fit behind the plate. Torrealba might work out better back there, but the way the team screwed over Michael Young will hover over them most of the season, whether he gets traded or not. I'll be called a homer, but my A's have the best pitching staff in the West hands down and have quite the argument for the best staff in the AL. While they only slightly upgraded their woefully bad offense, I'm still going to pick them to win the AL West.

AL East- Red Sox
AL Central- Minnesota
AL West- Athletics
AL Wild Card- Yankees

NL East- Phillies
NL Central- Reds (the probable loss of Wainwright for the Cards makes for a boring NL Central)
NL West- Giants
NL Wild Card- Padres

ALCS- Red Sox over Yankees
NLCS- Phillies over Reds

WS- Phillies over Red Sox

After the Wainwright injury I'll say the Reds now win the Central. I'll put the Braves as the NL wild card.

What is up with all this Brewers love? They picked up Grienke and an injury prone, somewhat average Marcum. other than that, it is pretty much the same ****ty team.

Note: there is Brewers love elsewhere much more than here, I am just curious

Because there best two players had "down years" and still had a pretty good offense.

Prince is going to explode this year. It wouldn't surprise me to see 50 homers. He seems like a guy (a lot like CC) where it's his contract year and he knows it.

Greinke is a little bit of a headcase, and I think the situation in KC got to him. The new digs will help.

And anytime you have a pitcher with 17 wins and a 3.50 ERA in the AL East playing the Yanks/Sox/Rays...that's pretty good.

I don't know if its "love" for the Brewers as much is it is skepticism with the rest of the division.

Why are people so skeptical of the Reds? They won the division outright last year. They led the league in runs. They have a starting rotation that goes 6 deep in quality arms. They have some great young arms in the bullpen and play rock solid defense.
