Playoffs Here We Come

And it feels SO DAMN GOOD WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Whoa. Slow down. ESPN analytics is saying there is a 3% chance UT will not make the playoffs even with the win over Vandy. Don’t know why or how or what would cause that, but that’s what ESPN is saying and well, they know everything about sports. (Imagine blue font here of course.) GBO!

I’ve never had many complaints with play calling, sometimes it was more of lack of execution on our players part.

In the end, we are a playoff team, you can look back and second guess decisions here or there, you can look at the Arkansas game and the Georgia game and question choices, but ultimately we are a play off team which is more than a lot of teams can say right now.

Arkansas was rough. I thought our play calling against Georgia was good. I felt like our lack of pressure on Carson Beck was what hurt us. Georgia held onto the ball alot and didn't give our offense much chances in second half.

Like I said, there’s a lot of things you can look back on and question but st the end of the day we are 10-2 with a berth in the playoffs.

It’s a heck of a lot better then where we were four years ago

unbelievable!!!! Cannot believe what Huepel as done with our program
Maybe you can't. In any case, like 2 years back, I again stuck my neck out very early in the season. Here's what I, Nathan, and the cracked crystal ball saw.
I didn't nail it, but I had the guts to post it, drag it back here for you all to see.

It was more a general “so happy to see where we’ve come.

But I honestly felt like we were in a good place and a good coach in 2022, even last year which was a bit of a step back I was happy with where we were and had an eye on the future.

But I admit when we hired Huepel I expected just another mediocre hire that would last a couple years and then on to the next one.

I will happily eat some crow over that one.

We were way ahead of schedule in ‘22 considering the mass exodus when the McDonalds bags were taken away.

Last year was another solid building block.

And I fully expect that CJH is still building this thing, and it’s going to continue rising.

I just wanted to see the team get into the playoffs and make some noise if nothing else. Mission accomplished for the Vols.

!I just want to say and I think this is forgotten sometimes... Nico is a Redshirt Freshman.. we have at least 2 more years of this and maybe more with his close relationship with Josh. We are extreme fortune to be here when you think about 4 years ago with Pruitt and the worst records in program history. It's a privilege to be back to where we are supposed to be. Im stoked !

22 was definitely a year we overachieved by far.

How?
It was an example of what this offense does once the qb in in control
That's not overachieving it's just good offense

It will get better when nico gets control
We didn’t have a full scholarship roster and were painfully thin on defense.

We did far more than what we should have, but it was/should have been a wake up call to the league that Tennessee was back

Is there any chance we play ASU in Tempe? I'm very confused about the way the seeding will go in this first playoff.
Everyone can guess and that’s all it will be by anyon, but we really will not know anything until after next weekends championship games, then the committee will decide the seeding.

The ball wasn’t the ONLY thing Georgia was holding on to that game. The OL almost always had a handful of DL jerseys too

If there’s still a 3% chance we miss the playoffs, I suppose there’s a 1% chance we would play Arizona State in Tempe.

We will be seeded between 7th-9th in all likelihood. ASU has too much ground to cover to host a home game.
