These last 4 weeks give the Vols the chance to accomplish the second goal of the season.
#1 - become bowl eligible
#2 - SEC championship
#3 - make playoffs

If we get beat on Saturday, we are 50/50 to make goal #3. I hope most of you dont go down the rabbit holes of the committee is screwing us, or ESPN screwed us, or the Big10 schedule is soft. This team.is better than that team and we beat them, etc.......

We had our chances to stop all that nonsense when we went to Arkansas. Get beat in a game like that and you leave things to chance. You lose control for yourself.

Now if we win on Saturday we make amends for that dumb weekend and get back into control for ourselves.

its always better to have your losses at the beginning of the season

if we don't beat GA, we are in a beauty pageant and hoping there are some upsets basically to try to make it at that point

Agree with most of what you said. Tennessee is in this spot because of the bad loss to Arkansas.

However I still reserve the right to bitch playoff rankings.

There are 5 SEC teams with 2 losses. If we get a 2nd loss, we are out of SEC Championship due to our strength of schedule. This is widely known. Look that up.

If we lose to UGA, we will be out of the playoffs and will need a lot of help to get back in. Possible, but not likely.

Ole Miss currently is sitting in the top 11 . Let’s say that we don’t go to Athens and win this weekend. That’s a very realistic possibility. Our best win would be better than theirs and their worst loss is definitely worse than ours. There is a strong narrative taking shape that at 10-2 we’re on the outside looking in, while Ole Miss would be in . That’s my point. I’ll hang up and listen .
