I did hear something positive about Tatum during the game broadcast while ago. HE'S A SENIOR!!!!! Thank goodness!!! Almost like wishing Steven Pearl away. :)

I'm sorry and I'm not bashing but everytime Tatum gets the ball I scream "GET HIM OUT OF THERE" It's just a simple truth.

hard to tell with all the morons on here. tatum didnt have a good game and hasn't played well the last few games obviously. but it is not only him. big talent difference this yr than the last few yrs. give the guy a break. everyone is inconsistant on this team with maybe an exception with maymon.

look what woolridge did tonight. did you expect that? no, you didnt. nobody did. it is not one players fault.

But Tatum was considered to be the senior "leader". That may be the reason they are all inconsistent, they are following in his foot steps.

LMAO.. but like i've said I've been watching him for years and the truth is he is not very good...at all, and I've seen NO improvement on his skills. But I'm not the coach and they are smarter than me. Just sayin...UGGGHHHHH!

more is expected of tatum because he is a 5th year senior so more should be expected from him as far as consistency. look at what he has done the last few games, he hasnt hit a shot in 2 games now, and he is taking plenty of shots that aint the problem. he made bad decisions driving the lane and getting swatted leading to fast breaks, he foulded 45 feet away from the basket when they are in the bonus, he just honestly made plays that a 5th year senior can not make.

I really dont think anyone is hating. I think it's his body of work that people are tired of. In all the years I have watched this team play 2 players stand out that I kringe when they get the ball...Tatum and the point guard for Jerry Greens team I believe it was Tony Harris..Don't kill me if I got the name wrong but that guy was out of control!!

Oh well... I saw this coming 3 years ago after my bookie in Knoxville told me a few things about this guy. Not too long after that, we had the incident on Alcoa Highway where him and his teammates were pulled over.

The guy's focus hasn't really been on basketball the entire time he has been here. He's got enough talent to give sparks or catch lightning in a bottle, but he is where he is right now because he more than likely has issues off the court.

agreed. he is playing like total crap. but like i said before. last yr it was tobias, hopson, williams, goins. the year before, chism, prince, hopson, maze, etc. all those years he had better talent around him. he was never the best player on the team and that includes this yr. so what if he is a senior? just because he is a senior doesnt mean he is the best player on the team. yes, he should provide leadership, i get that. but as for expecting a solid 15 pts a game and his stat line filled with some steals, assists, etc. come on, nobody should expect that and i do not see why many do because it had never been that way before on a consistant basis. just my :twocents:

nobody said they expect that from him atleast i didnt we expect him to play SMART. i dont care if he only scores 4 points a freaking game just play smart. take dane bradshaw for example, he was far less talented than tatum but by his senior year he was a leader and an intelligent player. tatum makes freshamn mistakes as a 5th year senior that is unacceptable.as i said i really dont care about the points there are other ways to contribute to the team at this point he is just hurting us not contributing.

Actually, Tatum is 1 of 30 in the last 4 SEC games after tonight. THat is a blistering 3% FG percentage. Enough said. If this guy even sniffs the court on Sat., something is wrong. It's not just missing shots either, it's the shots he takes that make me scratch my head. Other posters have referenced he may be smokin' something. Don't know if there is any validity to this but he sure is playing like he is "out of his mind"

he is actually 4-30 in the last 4 sec games after tonight not that that is much better, but also has 7 assists and 8 turnovers in that span as well.

agreed. a lot of factors play into i believe, but i still agree. :good!:

personally, i think maymon is the far better leader. jmo.

he absolutely is but thats the frustrating part. tatum doesnt even need to be a leader JUST DONT SCREW UP. that shouldnt be that hard for a 5th year senior to understand yet he continues to just play horrible.

It's not hating when you make s valid critique of one of the most under achieving players in years.
The guy spends too much time getting high instead of putting in the extra work to get better. Our fans and supporters deserve better than what he gives.
