Please excuse us and all our negativity

goodpoint i just wish our offense was alittle more exciting to watch, these games are boring. every game i've been to this year the crowd is electric for the 1st quarter and then our offense just takes them out of it, but the tailgating is still agood reason to go.

now thats sort of rude.  i paid good money for season tickets this year and i feel the product on the field is not worth the money i spent.  thats just my opinion,  but that is how i feel.  i'm a sucker for tennessee football,  but if they don't make some changes in there offensive coaching staff this year my tickets will be on e-bay next year.

My post was rude???? :dunno:

another good point. and yes it is sort of rude not everybody is beating up on the players. i will take a couple of shots at the coaching staff, but to me the players are just doing what there told to do. to me around 65% of the fans don't like the direction our team is going in it is nothing we have to apologize for.

I don't think that he was saying that we're sorry for being hard on the team. He was saying that we are sorry for how some have gone about doing so.

have you actually been reading the posting going on in here, and yes we all have a right to be frustrated but constant bashing of players is old and tired , that's what I was apologizing fro not being upset about "team direction" and the main point is we need to get over it and stand behind the team, sorry if i stepped on your toes

if that was the point he was trying to get at then i apologize. i guess i'm one of the negative guys on here, i just don't see alot good going on with this team on the offensive side of the ball, i won't beat up on the players, now the coaches on the other hand get payed quite well they should be held responsible. he shouldn't use the word ignorant though its almost like namecalling.

sorry but ignorant is the only adjective that could describe some of the crap that has been posted and I'm not naming any names just don't want visitors to think that that is all that goes on at this board

UF fans arent?  Would a UF fans bragging about beating UGA by 2 TDs be bragging?  Or, does he even know what he is talking about?

1) Probably a relative rarity that any Gator fan would boast like that before a game given UF's performance to date. At least I'd say that they shouldn't be doing that. But it is all, at the moment, a matter of opinion.
2) Even if UF is fortunate enough to win, a bit of luster will be taken off by absence of Schockley.
3) Putting aside for the moment who will win, I think that proclaiming that UF will score 2 TD's, much less win by that margin, is awfully bold.

As many on here note, there is a difference between always rooting for your team versus blind loyalty so blind that it cannot see the forest for the trees.

When I was at UF as a student, I am quite sure I fell into the former category. Like to think I've grown out of that (sadly, as much as I've grown out of the 32 inch waist jeans I wore at the time).

And always will be. As the Ole Miss Rebels say: "We've never lost a party!"

Thanks, dude. I think the older ones agree, I really do. When your weekend does not live and die by a college football game you tend to get some perspective, you know?

Are you older? I ask because it seems like the older ones remember what football was like in Gaineville, pre-SOS.

I recommend going to the Sewanee-Rhodes game every year. There's a lot of "Trevor, I'm open; throw me the ball, Trevor!" but you get to wear your tweed and it's fun and the players and fans all go off and hoist one together after it's over.
And it's cheap.
