So, no "Fire Butch" threads, but can we set fire to things? I'm liking the idea of a riot, but can we do it somewhere with electronics? A new TV and laptop would go a long way toward easing the pain.

Doyle: It's impossible to reason with stupidity and immaturity. Most youth today expect immediate gratification. They 've not lived long enough to understand success takes time, patience and much work. Many on Vol Nation have no common sense. Sadly, a sign of the times. At last, Tennessee is making great progress, but it will take time and at least another year(or 2) to become a top tier team. The foundation is being built properly and success will come, but there will be disappointments. Let's keep the faith! It's coming!

If they lose Saturday, it likely won't be all on Worley, at least not from me.

I don't hate the guy, I just don't think he is the end all be all that a select few on here make him out to be after two games against decent at best competition.

If we get drubbed like we did against the Ducks last year then I think a fair amount of critisism needs to be pointed if not thrown Butch's way to let him know these bricks he's building with just are not holding up.

The likelihood of the good guys winning are slim at best. We are nowhere near where we need to be to compete at a high level at this point. I encourage everyone to focus on how far we have come from where we have been.

Where are all these "fire Butch" posts you guys keep referencing? Can you link me to some of the ones after the Oregon game last year, aka the worst blow out loss in program history? I don't recall any.

In fact, I can't recall anytime in recent memory that a significant portion of this board called for a head coach to be fired who didn't actually deserve to be fired. Can you?

I can however, link you to a thread demanding Butch be given a lucrative contract extension after his first 5-7 season.

I must admit, there wasn't a lot of "fire butch" posts. However, I did find a post calling for Butch to be fired after the Mizzou game:

Yeah, I'm sure I can find one post here for just about anything. How many posts have been made on this site in the past year alone? You found one post after one game (and not even the game I asked about). That's like what? .00000001%? But yet how many threads and posts have been made here about people saying "fire butch"? Quite a few more, certainly. It's really such a silly strawman argument.
