Amen to OP and I add No to Fedora as well. Make a splash that will actually help or name an interim and wait for better fishing weather.

I know what he done, he still wins in the SEC. He is the best coach available, its that simple, plus he has no NCAA baggage. He's a free and clear, cheap, 10+ game winning coach.

I kind of agree if we're going to go cheap but i see no way hart can pull the trigger on him. Just too soon after his screwup.

I will promise you, with a confident degree of certainty, that Petrino would win 8-9 next year 9-10 year two 10+ as long as he stayed. It is our mistake if we go below Petrino, and its a big mistake. He wins, he wins with less, he wins in the SEC. It seems like a no brainer to me, but everyone is hung up on morals and not winning. I understand he has had problems but we have a Tressel and Butch board too.

I am certain Petrino would win more games than, say, Strong, a lot quicker.

What people do in their private life is their own business.. Where I begin to have a problem with it is when they, by their actions, bring it into public view for all to see especially if they are a public figure.. The last time I checked, cheating on your wife is not against the law, it's only grounds for divorce. That is NOT and endorsement for that kind of behavior.. If you start eliminating coaches for being unfaithful, you're going to surprised how many teams will be without coaches..

People screw up all the time.. All of us have. Remember when Kiffin signed Daniel Hood?? Remember how many of you frankly acted like dicks about that whole deal.. I believe that chance has been well earned many times over. One of the best things Kiffin did if you ask me.. I know you don't want to be reminded of it but hey, get over it..

Maybe Petrino has learned his lesson, maybe not.. No one will ever know till he is given that chance.. Not saying it will or even should be us but I think he deserves one eventually..

Honestly my biggest fear with Petrino is him leaving early.. However, if he has learned his lesson, given the second chance you may not have to worry about that..

Really? So candy is going to a BCS game, and won the sec?

He may be assuming you will consider the conferences they play in of which there is no comparison.. Somehow I think you knew that though.. :)

You know winning in the sec and competing with inferior talent is more impressive than winning at louisville. Neither have beaten a team of consequence imo but franklin has a better recruiting class than strong and he is at vandy. I know ppl despise franklin but he is a damn good coach. Just saying their resumes are similar except franklin is competing and recruiting well at vandy.

I'd take them all over Fulmer.

Well probably not Franklin, because I really hate that guy.
