Dear Fellow UT Fans,

Dooley fans or Dooley Haters, Fulmerites or Kiffin-wishers, please dear God, for the love of mary, please show some class here. Stop it with the hatred. It's time to move on. LET IT GO. BREATHE.

This is the #1 reason why some coaches will re-consider taking this job, our fan base looks low class and crazy. Please be dignified and respectful, there is a man who worked very hard, a family who is hurting today and needs to move on. Let's do them the respect of doing the same thing.

MOVE ON. LET IT GO...

Brian

Yeah, I'm sure every potential head coach is going to check Volnation, before accepting the job. I'm all for class, but "C'mon man!"

I liked this and I totally agree with it. As much as people don't think people read message boards, they do. Dooley might not have had much results but we're in a better way as far as players than we were when he started. So we have to thank him for what he's done and hope for great coach to come in and lead them back to the top. It's been a while since we've been there but we can get back. Don't be negative towards Dooley, just thank him and wish him luck.

Brianchevy is one of the few people who voted for Dooley in the Post-Vandy Game Approval Thread.

moment of weakness.... this morning my view changed. I'm ok with moving on now. it wasn't my decision to make, but i support the moving on.

No, I will show him the same respect he showed my University.

So sad that you think this way...He tried his best, was not good enough.. but in no way has he earned disrespect.

Its not like he pulled a kiffin.. got us in trouble and ran away.

This is a fan base and website that supports a sports program going through some trying times. It isn't a life-altering or catastrophic event.

How each person chooses to handle it should be up to them and the moderators here.

CDD gave his all for Tn it just wasn't good enough. Show respect and class to him and his family. I do think he did the best he could it just wasn't working. He has a family that does not deserve any negativity or be put in a position that would allow his children to see their dad harrassed or put down. Whats done is done. Now lets move forward in restoring our proud heritage and tradition back to where it belongs. Show why Volnation is a great place to be. Brighter days are in our future , stay positive and let all of this negativity go. GBO!

How long until Dooley comes out in the media that he recived death threats while coaching at UT? That seams to be the popular tactic for those who were failures here. I'm not saying they didnt either but I'm sure you have your crazies at every school so why bite the hand that fed you. It's a childish coward's mve and Dooley has been crying like a baby since he stepped into Knoxville.

You are right dude. Maybe Dooley bit off more than he was ready to chew. I saw the look on his face late in the 4th quarter last nite and he knew he was fired, and it was hurting him bad because he realy did wan't to return UT to the elite in football. You could see in his eyes he knew he had failed and it was hurting him unlike some coaches who don't give a crap except for the paycheck.

Dooley could become a good coach at a smaller school in a less demanding confrence, he gave it his best and his best was not good enough for our beloved orange and white. Thanks for trying and good luck.

How they handle it shows their class or lack of. Where I'm from you run your mouth long enough and someone shuts it for you. These young posters are allowed to posts like idiots with no repercussions. Atleast our freedom of speech allows us to ask those fans to show respect.
