so then did you pull over all women dressed in business attire and then move on to single male college students? Do you now pull over every RV and search it?

I read that something like 1 out of 18 searches results in the discovery of contraband. It's a waste of the officer's time, and a horrible inconvenience to the 17 citizens who were innocent, and the 1 who was likely only guilty of a victimless crime.

Cops know you will have to hire an attorney, spend time and alot of money to get the cash back. I'd say most people never recover what was confiscated, I'd also say this dosen't happen to people of means. They don't do this to the ones the cops think can afford the time and money.

Yeah, it's crazy. Napolitano talked about the TSA confiscating cash like this in his book, and I almost didn't believe it.

BTW, I recently have been turned away from both Little Caesar's, and a local burger joint for tryi.ng to pay with $100 bills. Cash is no longer king.

That's because you're the only person there trying to break the big bills. Omg that's so annoying when people bring in 50s or 100s to buy less than $10 worth of food. They probably didn't have change in the first place, and no small business wants to carry large bills. Too much risk of getting the bills lost or stolen.

What's annoying about it? If you don't want good money, just reject it. They can choose to reject my money, it's their choice, but then I choose to take my business elsewhere. It's the nature of exchange. What's annoying is that they don't indicate that they will reject my $ until I've waited in the takeout line for 5-10 minutes. Put up a freaking sign, idiots.

$20 worth of food. They have the change. My guess is they have been counterfeited too many times because their employees are stupid. I guarantee it's not security reasons (keep count low in drawer) because there is virtually no crime of that nature here.
