Because if he does, he breaks Manning's single-season yardage record.

Personally, I hope he breaks it.

I did not vote. I don't care about individual records. They are nice. Winning is important. If Bray gets 500/game and UT loses it is a loss. If he gets 5/game and UT wins it is a win. That's the bottom line.

I totally agree. The record might change hands by the end of the season, but what does it show? Great numbers on a team going no where. The only thing it might help is his draft status if that. In the end all it shows is a waste of good offensive talent.

I hope he masters the art of reading coverages and defensive alignments (thus getting an idea of what they are trying to do to him). And then masters the art of putting a defense in a bad situation with his playcalling at the line of scrimmage.
Then I hope he tightens up his mechanics and footwork, for they are both sloppy and waste time in the pocket and hurt his timing and accuracy.
Then I hope the offense comes out scoring early and often in the game like it should. To many times it takes all these "NFL" players too long to get it cranked up.
Then I hope he leads us on a 5 game winning streak to close the season out.
Damn a record. He is not better than Peyton or even close in any way you measure a QB. So if he throws for 600 against Mizzou it won't mean much as far as him being better than Peyton. Just win the damn game. And then win another one. And onother. The TRUE measure of a QB.

Edit: Yeah, break every record you can. Just win the game.

Why do we keep hoping for more failure? Seems as though we would still hope for some level of success.

I'd rather have WINS for my Tennessee Vols than 1 person setting any record.

I figured it up on a per game basis against our SEC East rivals and this is where we really are under CDD...

Only 3 plays against Florida and we would have Won.

Only 2 plays against UGa and we would have Won.

Only 2 plays against MSU and we would have Won.

Only 2 plays against USCe and we would have Won.

Folks, that's only 9 PLAYS this season and we would be a top 10 team and the SEC East Champions and would be trying to figure out how to beat Bama in the SEC Championship game.

Only 9 BIG plays that scored on us when our new 3-4 Defense didn't shift correctly when the O made shifts and we got caught out of position and they made a huge play and scored on us is the ony difference between our record now and being a 1 loss top 10 ranked team.

It breaks my heart and makes me sick to know for a fact how very close we were this season to being back in the top 10 and on a roll to Win out the rest of the way and be in a great Bowl game.

Our Defense has been horrid all year but still it was only 9 HUGE plays for big scores that made the big difference.

If we were in the 2nd year of switching to the 3-4 D then we would already be the SEC East Champions.

9 d@mn plays away from our Tennessee Vols being BACK and forcing ESPN and everyone else to talk really good about us again.

Only 9 PLAYS is how very close we really are.

Wrong. I've been told that it's all in my head, that there aren't any trolls here.

But you're probably pretty used to being wrong by now, tho...so I doubt it fazes you anymore. :eek:lol:
