I choose to wear a mask because it seems common sense to me that they will lessen the amount of respiratory droplets that travel beyond that mask and lessen the distance they travel. If it only helps a small percentage it seems worth it to me. If it doesn't help at all then what have I lost? Wearing a mask in Kroger for 30 minutes or in Dollar General for 10 minutes is zero inconvenience for me.
Thank you for your service...

The latter 2 choices greatly decrease your chance of catching/spreading the virus.
Catching or spreading...

I think most people that don't wear a mask are not concerned about catching it.

With regards to spreading, if a person that is concerned about catching it wears a mask, that can greatly decrease their chances of catching it.

There could be several factors at play as to why someone doesn't wear a mask. Not worried about catching it is one of them but very likely not the only reason.

If a person wears a mask it can reduce their chances of getting it but it unfortunately doesn't negate ALL chances of catching it. The more people in an area wearing a mask the greater the reduction of all virus particles in that area. It's a compound situation.

My wife, who is blonde and somewhat sheltered, says that she wishes that they made a cute one with a zipper so that you could open it when you needed to without taking it off. I think I may buy her one just to see the public reactions.

Why are people so big on mask, but not the face shield?

I don't wear them, but I'm in my late forties, no underlying conditions and healthy.

One bizzare thing I saw the other day- I'm sitting in a local pizza joint and I see a couple pull up outside wearing a mask in their car, which of course makes no sense.

They get out of the car and very much look like people that need a mask, I'm guessing mid-80s and they appear quite frail.

They walk a long way across the parking lot which is quite large as it's part of a shopping center.

I assume they must be coming in to grab some takeout, but they walk in and plop down at a table near other families and take their masks off.

What sense does that make? You wear your mask alone in your car and in a large parking lot then pull it off in a crowded restaurant?

I'm not a conspiracy nut and don't belittle anyone that wants to wear a mask but what some people are doing is nonsense.

Costco made me wear one, my doctor made me wear one. Twice. I've not worn one since I chipped up an old asbestos laden tile floor in my old house a decade ago. My immune system isn't made of Sam Bradfords shoulder.

I see a lot of people wearing masks that only cover their mouths...

I love the folks saying I don't wear one because I am not scared of catching it. You wear one not to protect yourself so much as to protect others, but way to be selfish and not think of others.
It's a me concept and not a we concept. a-ME-rica

What? So if I don't have China Flu I should wear a mask to protect other people from...what exactly?

Obviously, your stupidity.
Thats it? Thats all you got? You screech about wearing a mask to protect other people..from what? Do you wear your helmet when walking your cat to protect other people? Are the corks on your forks for your protection or the safety of others around you at the microwave dinner table? Do you strap on a rubber when wanking to midget porn online?

Just wait until local lawmakers get a chance to really sink their teeth into writing laws and the cops get to enforce this...
Yep, I was out at the baseball field last night with my son...... a cop very slowly drove past us so I figured he was going to say something to us bc we weren’t wearing masks but he kept on going.
