I don't mind alternate uniforms every now and then if they look cool.
However, the pro combat seems to be more about attracting attention than looking good.
It seems like most people can't accept the fact that while they don't like them, these are for recruits and players, most of whom do like them. No, Oregon's uni combos aren't going to be the deciding factor for anybody to sign there, but anybody who thinks it hasn't been a major factor in them gaining a spot on the national stage and signing some big names is lying to themselves.
I'm going to disagree. The fauxbacks were almost a million times better than Maryland's, and at least 900,000 times better than any of Nike's pro combats, with the exception of (maybe) the Army and Navy unis.
those were throwbacks and I liked them. If you're going to have an alternate at least have it mean something (like ND and Mich did) and not be "just because"
Those Michigan uni's were ****ing awesome. Pro Crombats are just usually silly and way over the top.
The michigan uniforms looked much better than I expected from the pics.

Recognized because they have a tradition of winning. Had nothing to do with what they wore. Tradition isn't having a bland uniform using up to date technology. A lot of it is sponsor driven & that wasn't around when they had leather helmets & before the forward pass. Money talks.

If you take the average UT fans feelings toward bama, and florida. . . add them up, multiply by 1000x. . . that is what I feel about the university of michigan.
and yet another example of a gator fan having no clue about football outside their own little world. Seriously, do yourself a favor and read up on UT/bama
I might have been nicer without the insulting (but predictable gatorese) Walmart remark
