There were moments the crowd was loud, but it wasn't Neyland's best performance. After the game coach did immediately acknowledge the crowd and gave high praise and did say it helped and made a difference. I do like how he acknowledges the fan base often.

I'm sure USCjr (now known as VandieJr after Rattler's post game comments) had something to do with Neyland not rocking like it can, but it could have been a lot more live up in there.

Thoughts?

I would say B+

The As are games like the Bama last year.

It was loud when it really needed to be but I’ve been there for more sustained loudness no doubt.

Over all it was a still a great atmosphere though.

I gave it a B. They were loud at times, but there were other times, not so much. Needs to be raucous for the whole game. One thing I was thankful for, they seemed to be loud when Cubelic was doing a sideline interview. Couldn't hear what he was saying, so I'm happy. Just not my pick for a sideline reporter.

I was sitting in R, and I didn't think it was very loud. Of course, the obnoxious drunk in my area left before 2 minutes of the game had even passed, and we had several empty seats, which was shocking.

It’s going to be very difficult to match previous seasons crowd noise and overall excitement level. The number of stoppages for TV timeouts now just kills the crowd. Crowd gets up, gets loud then 3 plays later there’s a 2:40 second tv timeout. It’s brutal how much the tv controls the flow of the game now. As much as I enjoyed last nights game, I found myself annoyed and wondering if I’ll renew tickets. It’s very frustrating

Agree. When the D got that opening stop, the crowd was so loud it literally made my ears crackle down in the lower bowl. Then when they followed with a TD on their first drive, it was insane. Didn’t go to Alabama last year, but I was at Florida last year. 100X louder last night. The only time it remotely let up was when we started coasting and burning clock late in the 3rd quarter. Loudest game I remember personally attending.

The TV timeouts are very frustrating and the new rules which I thought were supposed to shorten the game only allow for more of those.

That was an A game you have to grade on a curve

Bama 2022 Inifinity/10
Probably the greatest regular season game of all time between the pre game hype and all media being there, the actual game, the trolling after the game and the post game party.


Ole Miss 2021 12/10

Was loud and exciting the whole game and I don’t care what people say **** those refs and for blatant cheating and ole Miss fake injuries. They deserved everything thrown at them.

Oklahoma(forgot the year sorry) 10/10

You couldn’t ask more from a crowd was deafening loud the entire time.

California late 00s 9.9/10

We were starving for that game and when Hardesty carried the entire Cal team at one point that place was electric

Florida 04 USCe 23 9.0/10

Just great atmosphere before and during the game

Noise and energy, A. Hard to beat the crowd in this game.
The potty mouth makes us a B. Those F-Bombs really came through at times.

I attended 4/5 of those (missed OU).

I generally agree with you assessment.

The FU chants are sophomoric. I know it’s mostly just the students. Wish they could be more creative.

It was loud - but not as loud as some others have said - the benchmark for me is still the ‘98 Florida game. The ‘00 Florida game (other the Gaffney catch) doesn’t get mentioned much - but it was beyond all measure of loud too.

That typed, it was a different era then. Sections U,T, S, etc were still sardine can bleacher seats and were much louder sections then- now they are very expensive and much comfier and the older folks who have them are less inclined due to age and etc to stand up and scream the whole game. Additionally, we had about 9000 more people in the stadium then too. And no Jumbotrons 😂

Meh… I’m not offended by it or anything but I think it’s kinda weak sauce.

It’s like I tell my teenage nephews that think it’s cool to drop curse words every other sentence. The words lose the intended effect when you use them flippantly.

They do it too often lately. It’s “cringe”.

Florida 1998- breaking the streak was loud. That was the peak of the rivalry.

I was there in Y10, I'd give it a A- Was there for the 98 Florida game, 06 Cal game, and last year's Florida and Bama games. Not that good, hence the A-
