I would have said B+, but there were no +/- options, so they got an A.

It was a good crowd for an average opponent with a payback factor involved; easier to get loud when it’s a top 10 matchup or a huge rivalry, of which South Carolina was neither. So. B+, rounded up to A.

B.

Loud at times but far away from Bama, UF, 2015 OU, etc. There have been times at Neyland that I can feel my eardrums reverberating. Never came close to that.

Lots of FU Spencer which I agree are maybe low-class, but I can't stand that guy either so I'll let it slide. They were pretty consistent with that chant though, lol. The tv timeouts and player "injuries" made the game seem to drag on and on forever.

Not to sound like an old geezer, but why are we singing Friends In Low Places between the 3rd and 4th quarter? I don't get the connection.

On the TV, sounded like an A- to me. Really loud, but definitely not ‘22 Bama, ‘15 OU level. If anyone at the game says otherwise, no problem. You were there, I wasn’t.

I have Dish. I could not hear the announcers very well due to the crowd. Of course who wants to hear Rogers or Hart anyway. And Kesling is about 3/4 seconds ahead so I don't bother with radio. But my TV was certainly loud. But I wear hearing aids anyway! TAMU will be a dog fight.

There were moments the crowd was loud, but it wasn't Neyland's best performance. After the game coach did immediately acknowledge the crowd and gave high praise and did say it helped and made a difference. I do like how he acknowledges the fan base often.

I'm sure USCjr (now known as VandieJr after Rattler's post game comments) had something to do with Neyland not rocking like it can, but it could have been a lot more live up in there.

Thoughts?

Good question. I'm interested to know.

The TV timeouts are very frustrating and the new rules which I thought were supposed to shorten the game only allow for more of those.
They said last night the no stopping the clock rule just took off about 5 plays, which for us is about 1 minute and 40 seconds. They’ve added what seems to be about 20 more minutes of commercials. After we stopped SC on 4th down there’s no reason in the world to take a three minute commercial break at that point except greed.

I was sitting in R, and I didn't think it was very loud. Of course, the obnoxious drunk in my area left before 2 minutes of the game had even passed, and we had several empty seats, which was shocking.
Yeah about that...

Sorry.

Oh. My bad. I wasn't in R.

IMO, anyone who wasn't at the game but is witching about the crowd last night needs to shut it.

I was there last night in AA. Crowd was rowdy and the band was extremely loud where we were, not even close to it or across from it. Good atmosphere.

That was an A game you have to grade on a curve

Bama 2022 Inifinity/10
Probably the greatest regular season game of all time between the pre game hype and all media being there, the actual game, the trolling after the game and the post game party.

Ole Miss 2021 12/10

Was loud and exciting the whole game and I don’t care what people say **** those refs and for blatant cheating and ole Miss fake injuries. They deserved everything thrown at them.

Oklahoma(forgot the year sorry) 10/10

You couldn’t ask more from a crowd was deafening loud the entire time.

California late 00s 9.9/10

We were starving for that game and when Hardesty carried the entire Cal team at one point that place was electric

Florida 04 USCe 23 9.0/10

Just great atmosphere before and during the game
Clint Stoerner fumble along with us scoring the go ahead TD against Arkansas in 98 was the loudest of my experience.

I would agree that the numerous stoppages made it harder to keep the intensity up…from a fan perspective. And the Bru injury sucked the life out of the stadium for a good bit. It wasn’t the same after that. There were literally some older ladies and moms/grandmas in my section who shed some tears when that happened. I am not even joking. People love that guy. It was really, really sad. Plus, again, we started to coast and burn clock. But, overall, given the rhythm of the game and what we as a crowd had to work with….I thought we brought it pretty darn good under the circumstances.

Agreed... i don't think the crowd ever got back to it's earlier level after Bru went down.

Some of yall trying to compare it to 2022 Bama or 98 Florida are missing the point. For a regular season non-rivalry game that was an A. No need to compare to A+ games

He’s not worthy of his own chant. Never let anybody know that you’re giving them the space in your head. Like you said it is low class and not creative.

I think the crowd was very good overall. Loud and made Neyland the way it was supposed to be. Granted it wasn't last year's Alabama experience but that is expected after the disappointing loss to Florida earlier.

Don't throw stuff at me but I don't like the FU chants. Being a parent, it doesn't allow for a child friendly atmosphere. I remember going to Tennessee games as a kid and I think about taking my daughter.

Should have a poll for those who were there and those that were not there.

I have been at games where the fans were only into the game when something happened. That was not the case Saturday night - the fans were into this game from before it started until after it finished. What more does it take to get an "A"? Storm the field??? Throw mustard???

Given how the game went I'd say it was as much as could be expected. The game was pretty much over early and Bru's injury kinda took the wind out of everyone. The game was never really in question after the first quarter.
