Webb vs Ole Miss, but Ya gotta love Kiner. Unfortunately that mouth came back to bite him in the Archie Who game later that year.

Jakie Walker had at least 4 of those picks he holds the record for most pick 6's in a season

Jackie had two touchdown returns in both the 1970 and 1971 seasons and finished with a career-best five. Prentiss Waggner eclipsed the single-season record with three in 2010. Jackie is still tied for the NCAA career record for touchdowns on interception returns.

I'll take Tony Robinson in 1985 vs #1 Auburn and Bo Jackson in Neyland. One of the best day's I ever had at Neyland - and there's been a lot of good ones!

Oh yes! I remember that one as well and I agree - hard to argue against you on that one. I remember seeing my cousin's picture in the Tennessean the next day hanging like a monkey on the goal posts after fans had stormed the field! They put that picture up on the bulletin board at church the next day! Good times, great memories!

There have subsequently been gaudier statistical performances but Tony certainly put on a clinic that day: 259 yards and four touchdowns. Tim McGee accounted for 163 of those yards on six receptions (Tony Robinson's four touchdown passes and Tennessee's - 10.07.85 - SI Vault) and a touchdown. Against UCLA and Auburn, Robinson and McGee played pitch-and-catch like men among boys.

This is one of the most deserving nominees among quarterback performances. Tennessee largely rode Robinson's strong right arm to a 24-0 lead against the top-ranked team in the nation before salting the game away with its running attack.

Here's a crazy one . . . Dustin Colquitt against South Carolina in 2003. I've never . . . . And I mean NEVER . . . seen a punter affect a game like that.

I think it was an ESPN or ESPN2 broadcast. I remember the announcers were in awe at his performance. They gave him their player of the game award and said it was the first time a punter had ever won it.

Dustin Colquitt basically won the 2003 Miami game. I remember him dropping bombs on them all afternoon with the final one being a fumble that sealed the game. Ah special teams play........I miss it.

Dustin was, quite simply, in a zone that season. He could drop the ball inside the opponent's 20 and make it take a right angle bounce to the sideline, almost on command.

What about Tee Martins NCAA record breaking performance at USCjr in 98. I was there and the gamecocks that were left in the stadium gave him a standing o when he finally had an incomplete pass.

Tee's performance in the 1998 South Carolina game was already mentioned. On the basis of statistical proficiency, there is no question that he had an extraordinary game, indeed an NCAA record-setting performance against South Carolina, but it was against a 1-10 opponent. That certainly isn't Tee's fault but, had he done this against Alabama, Florida or a marquis bowl opponent, there is little doubt that we would consider it one of the greatest performances of all-time by a Tennessee player.

I'm gonna nominate Jonathan Crompton vs UGA in 2009. 21-27 310yds 4td 1int.

I've been to a lot of games over there. Crompton breaking out the way he did was completely unexpected. Neyland was rocking and it was a great day. UGA got clowned.

It's hard to complete 23 straight in pre game warmups.

Travis Stephens at UF was my choice with Al Wilson in 98 and Bobby Majors vs Penn State being a close 2 and 3.

Stephens was a man possessed in Gainesville. Vols were a double digit underdog but the Gators could not tackle him that night. A performance for the ages.

Al Wilson just willed the 98 team to the win over UF. He was all over the field and he intimidated players on both teams.

The Vols scored 31 pts vs an undefeated Penn State team on the last weekend of the year in 71. Every point was either scored or set up by a punt, kick off, or interception return. Majors was a big part of that.

I remember that game very well. It seemed like he was the only player in Orange who could do anything right. It was funny hearing people say "Come on Dustin, pin them again". I've never seen fans cheer for a punter like that.

I gotta say Al Wilson in 98. Florida should've won that game, those fumbles kept us in it and that was the momentum we needed to kick ass that season and win the Nat'l Championship.
