Jeff Demps, Chris Rainey, Mccluster was kind of an RB.
SEC is more known for those all around backs that combine speed and strength but scatbacks can add a nice element to any offense
Just curious but can someone name a recent SEC rb that was a game changer because of his speed?
First one to come to mind was a multi purpose back by the name of Percy Harvin. He pretty much destroyed teams with his speed on his desisgned runs and screen game. Urban Meyer utilized his speed perfectly. As much as I hate to praise anything even remotely Gator related, I'm strictly answering the question above. SPEED KILLS! GO VOLS
Would any of the speedsters we are in on be game changers in the backfield? They would be a nice element but how much do you think they would actually see the field? Just want your opinion. Thanks
Really difficult to tell from HS tape, which is all i see, because so many guys at that level just run by seemingly everyone. Based on recruiters though, Love and Newsome posses next level speed. If that is true then yes I think they seem some time. They will never be one of the top 2 or 3 options for us, but that doesn't mean they can't contribute and make plays, especially on special teams.
I don't think any of these guys are Chris Rainey, but what do I know? Just think Lewis is a special breed of athlete based on size and speed and Newsome is the all time leader in HS for Punt Return yardage, and he's in Texas where HS football is no joke. Based on that I think those two guys can definitely help us during their careers.
I doubt who ever comes in at LT will start either way. O-line is a position you develop into. Blair will start at LT and whoever they bring in will be a back-up
