Living in Tri Cites makes game very convenient considering I go to 5-7 games a year. I also hear VT fans all the time talking crap and hope the game will shut them up. I plan tailgating the weekend and eating deep fried turkey!

Live in Elizabethton will definitely be there I wonder if they will open the camp grounds.

1) They will definitely open the grounds, the people that own those spots will want the money. It's going to be a hell of a 3 weeks for Bristol with the race, game and then Rhythm and Roots.

On a separate note, a friend of mine mentioned that they are talking about having ETSU play a game that kicks off at noon, with a Kenny Chesney concert sandwiched in between a 730-745 kickoff for our game.

I was afraid of that. Its too far for me to drive up and back, so I would have to stay somewhere. Maybe I can get an RV by then and that is solved
They will double to triple their rates and require a 2-3 night stay.

I tried to get rooms for Bristol several years ago. Seveirville was the closest I could get.

Nascar has fallen by the wayside so it ain't so bad anymore. Bruton struck a deal with a lot of motels and landlords to cut some slack on the gouging. Still ain't cheap though

I'll be there. I'll be a part of sports history watching the two teams I've followed most of my life. I hope this leads to a regular series between UT and VT.

I PLAN ON BEING THERE!

If you are a Vol fan or a hokie fan that lives anywhere between Knoxville or Blacksburg, how could you not be there?

It is a once in a lifetime event (probably).

I have family on both sides of this and I look forward to the chance to rub it in there faces when we celebrate a early Thanksgiving with some roasted Turkeys.

The atmosphere will be amazing, however, the view of the game will be atrocious.

So, people that want to watch the game, will stay home. Those who want to experience the crazy atmosphere will go.

I'm still torn. Maybe I'll go and tailgate and watch on my HD TV in the RV... I just don't know

How many are you traveling with Count? I have a spare bedroom you can crash in when we get back to K town.

It's a novel idea, but this game just isn't that big of a deal to me. If I get tix, I'll go...just like any other game.

Just a gimmick....UT getting only $4 million out of the thing is a bad deal. Not gonna fork out the cash just to be part of a publicity stunt.

Think it comes down to those who want to party and say "I was there" and those who actually want to see the game.

That is one of the dumbest things I've heard concerning this. Do people honestly think they won't be able to see the game from the stands? You will be able to see just fine. The only ones who will have any trouble are those in the worst seats possible.

No, you won't be able to even read the numbers on the jerseys. You go for the atmosphere, as for the view, it will be the worst you'll ever see game wise
