What we really need is physicality and toughness. We're not going to ever fare well in the NCAAT as long as we remain an outside shooting/finesse team. UT needs some dawgs on the roster.

No, we need a 2/3 that can get to the basket at will. The teams issue was that the best driver to the basket happened to be 6 ft and for as skilled and fast as Chandler was. He opted to not go in there as much against way bigger guys. With the shooters we have. Having a guy that can slash and kick or finish would do wonders for next year’s team.

A scorer that is happy to share the ball and is receptive to working their butt off while buying into the defensive philosophy and having a team first attitude. That’s what I’m talking about.

Dominant or Reliable. Good Hands, Good Defense. Barnes can develop what he has got into that kind of player.

One of our problems is that Officiating varys quite a bit from conference to Conference, it comes into play every year for SEC Teams.

I know it depends on which mix of officials are calling the game but we have seen it both ways and there really is not a standard of physically.

Jay Bilas brought this up during the season but unitil the SEC gets online or all conferences are on the same sheet. We are going to see a difference in foul calling in games.

We have talented big men. We just gotta coach 'em up. We absolutely do need more from our big men next yr but the cupboard is not bare. Our big men are a "big" reason we beat Kentucky twice this year.

If we had Toshwibe or Kessler down low u can't tell me we would have been home already.I firmly believe that post presence is sealing our tourney fates.Oh well til next time

Not necessarily a dominant big man. Just someone that we can consistently get offense from and can grab 6 or 7 rebounds.

Great question. I think we need two things:

1. Dominant big men (or really two) as pointed out in this post
2. A clutch perimeter shooter who won't go cold when it matters

We had #2 (actually two) with Jajuan Smith and Chris Loften in Bruce Pearl era. However, the 6 seed Elite 8 team probably had the best combination of players for a run.

BHH could be that guy if he develops his physicality.

Aidoo could be that person as well if he continues to work on his game as well.

UP moves well without the ball and sets screens but hasn't developed as a rim protector nor scoring threat.

Basically we have some guys but they're not Dickinson nor Mark Williams.
