I disagree. UT has been in the top 5 for attendance in basketball for awhile now. The ball program was growing under Pearl. It can continue with the right coach.

There is no reason UT can't be successful at both sports. There are plenty of schools who are. Florida, Wisconsin, and Ohio State.

To a lesser extent Baylor, Oregon, and Michigan State.

Kentucky chooses to pay its basketball coach.

UT has the resources to pay both**. We should be targeting Top 10 in both.

To me I don't even have to think about it FOOTBALL is TN. They could drop every other sport and I would not really care as long as I can see my VOLS run through the T in the fall I'm just fine and happy. GO VOLS

Honestly the only time I really cared about basketball was when pearl wad here. Its just not interesting under cuonzo

Poll is obviously designed to separate BB and FB fans..Just stupid..UT fans want both to succeed..With the facilities and support at UT the Vols should compete for championships in BOTH sports..Again, stupid poll

Not only should we be targeting Top 10 in both sports and paying for that kind of level of coaching...

We deserve an AD who is talking this talk all the time. We are in one of the greatest college sports markets in the country. We should be electrifying our core constituency with our programs. He should be making the connection that sports excellence translates into university excellence / education excellence / classroom excellence.

The really stupid thing (and why both must go) is that Cheek has a hell of a lot better chance of realizing his flagship vision if he is getting $7 - $10M per annum from the AD.
