Honestly what would give anyone the reasoning that we will hire anyone above subpar when our last 3 hires have been disastrous? Also, what coach would want to step in at this point, especially with NCAA punishments about to be laid down? I’m just being realistic honestly.

Kiffin or Freeze would be fun but won’t happen. I say go for Brian Daboll or Joe Brady. Young, well regarded offensive minds who can install something special on that side of the ball. You already have Steele to be the adult in the room when needed. Offense wins games, grab the best guy you can who can innovate and develop talent at the QB position.

First choice is Hugh Freeze, but i doubt that happening.
Second choice is Kiffin with a University favored contract, absolutely no buy out to Kiffin, but a HUGE buyout to the University if he moves on again... this also will not happen.

third choice doesnt matter, im sure they will hire the next “bargain basement”. “Up and comer” with zero HC experience, let alone a winning record! Might as well promote someone from the janitorial staff...

If you vote for anyone other than Lane Kiffin, you’re voting wrong.
I don't understand why so many people want Kiffin back. The dude bailed on us in the middle of the night to go to USC. Let's just say we hire old Kiffin back. He coaches a couple of years. Nicky Saban retires. Alabama calls Kiffin and offers him the job. Do you really believe he would say at UT or go to UA. He would leave in a heart beat.

I got to see Louisiana break our 3 year home winning streak. We had them beat going into the 4th quarter but he didn’t get memo. They just kept grinding. They never panicked. I was so impressed especially when you contrasted it against some of the inexplicable stuff during games at UT

Lane started this mess. Time for him to come back and repair the damage. With a good DC we would rebound quickly. Did he not make Jonathan Crompton into a decent QB. I remember that game in Tuscaloosa where we recovered an onside kick and were lining up for a winning FG. I also remember at the start of the 4th quarter with us in striking distance him in the middle of the players jumping and firing them up. They would have run through fire for him at that time. It is tough to envision this happening in light of what transpired but it would be nice to feel that way again.
