Polls are a joke

So? I think they're right. Who has Alabama beat so far? Florida and us? Whoop-dee-do.

Miami lost an extremely close one to FSU in the season opener and just took out Virginia Tech, who would have been in the Rose Bowl if they could have run the table.

If Bama wins their next two, I am ready to say they should be ahead of Miami. Until then, I believe the poll voters got this one right.

it doesnt matter what they win by. u guys are playing into the hands of this computer crap. it is about winning and they have won.

i hate bama, but they are getting the job here.

i know it is just the ap poll, but they are UNDEFEATED.

and that is what u play to do, win.

I will cheer for any SEC team to win it all except bammer.

I like nothing more than for them to lose. I know a bammer fan who was deployed and still went out of his way to call and give me crap.

I hate bammers.

Face it Charles, now that DJ Shockley is out, the only really good SEC teams are in the SEC West now. Bama is one and they will face the other two in the next two weeks. If they win that then the SEC, then they will be in the Rose Bowl Hunt. If not, then tough luck. Sugar Bowl ain't so bad.

Miami lost to an FSU that was abysmal that night, yet still deserved to win, but who also just lost to the same NC State team that almost beat Va Tech. All desent teams (all slightly overhyped), but none of them should be ahead of an undefeated SEC team. Period.

Milo, let's not have the SEC vs. Pac-10 argument the day after the UCLA beatdown. :D

I think if Bama beats LSU they can jump them right back. The margin is slim, 2-4 points? But, defense does win championships :p

Even in its worst of the past few years no one in their right mind would argue the sec has been worse than the 3rd best conference.

I think it's fair to say both conferences are sorely lacking on one side of the ball.

If polls are supposed to rank teams according to how good they are then I think they got this right.

Being undefeated vs. one loss is not an automatic indicator that the undefeated team is better.

Bama is good no doubt but their big wins aren't looking as big as they did at the time they occurred. Add to that an offensive output of 13 against Ole Miss, 6 against UT and 3 against Miss St., they are looking like world beaters right now.

I agree that if they beat LSU, they will jump back over Miami.

I think an argument could be made for Penn St. being above them too at this point.

Bama's schedule strength is a joke and the do not deserve to be #3. They have played no one the caliber that Miami has played.

i hate polls

Bama has one good win against a Florida team that was trying to figure themselves out. Miami is a VERY good football team with a tougher schedule than Bama. The ACC is much stronger than the SEC. Miami has accomplished more than Bama to this point. Miami beat the #3 team on the road by 20.

SEC bias at it's best. ACC is a better conference right now than the SEC. You can argue the PAC10 is better right now as well. The mid-level teams and the bottom teams in the ACC would wax the Middle and bottom teams of the SEC.

I completely agree!!! They have shown that they can beat mediocre teams (Florida & UT) but not shown anything else.

ALso, since Prothro got injured they haven't shown much offense....

Miami's offense isn't much better than Alabama's at this point, and they just lost their RB for the year.

Both have sick defenses though... that'd be a nice bowl game since USC and Texas likely won't lose.

Most of these poll voters are stupid yankees who couldn't find Bama on a map.
