Yep, what I figured. But, I recall learning about the push back when JFK was running and how he deliberately put LBJ on the ticket to pull in the southern vote so I found it curious that we aren't hearing more about it now.

This. If you take away a perverts distraction, he's more likely to act out his fantasies. There's an arguement to be made that porn helps some control their urges and therefore less likely to commit an actual crime.

Yeah, I know, but I still hear anti-Catholic preaching from 3 of the last 4 churches I've attended and even had pamphlets distributed during the last election that outlined "problems" with different candidates. On the list of problems was "Catholic"... these were fairly evangelical churches so I thought it would translate down south.

The problem, as I know it, isn't Catholics, it is Catholicism. There is a difference.

We as Americans need to quit bull****ting and go ahead and tax oxygen. Really. Everybody (alive) uses it. It would generate Trillions for the economy. I can see it now, man held at gunpoint, for some ****ing air. "Break yo' self fool; gimme that oxygen!" SMMFH.

That would insinuate a direct link between porn and (I am assuming here) crime. From there, I'm guessing you mean sex offenders and child molesters as well. Pretty big step. ------ On another point, I always did wonder why picking up a 'tute is a criminal act, but if you put an ad in the paper, film the conquest (and sell it), it is A ok. Weird at best, morally twisted at worst.

Meh... actually closer to the opposite. Overrated. Nobody up to that point had made mention about them personally "buying" porn. The discussion up to that point was mostly about the assertion that porn breaks up marriages and should be used to raise revenue.

I think Milo's first reaction, like mine, was who the hell actually pays for porn anymore?!?

I certainly don't. It just a means to an end. I know there are people who do though. I just don't understand why.
