Maybe Chase won’t forgive or forget. I think a lot of “Vol Nation” fans can be major a-holes and they showed how vicious & mean they can be, especially to a 20 yr old.

I don't know the kid, but why would or should he care what people on an anonymous message board say? Why would he even take the time to read it? Kid is set to make millions in another year. That should be his focus. Not what anyone else says. Professional athletes will always face criticism. Thick skin is a necessity.

I’m guessing Galanie and Denton are both gone to MLB. Between the two, I think Denton is more likely to be back (or sign a FA deal). I’d be estactic to have Denton for another year. Either way…Let’s hope Amick commits.

Throughout the years coaching, umpiring, and being a parent; it is amazing the things that are said in a locker room and dugout that guys can forgive. Now if we were talking girls, a whole different subject.
Guys can say stuff to and about each other and be over it in a split second if their buddy can help them win. Not talking specifics about this but male life in general. I coached girls' softball 3 different times and there was always drama. I had to institute a no crying rule for any reason except you are bleeding because you got hurt physically.

Who cares? Were the fans supposed to be excited about his departure? Isn't that more insulting?

This has been way too much drama. If he's back, cool we will have a great team. If he isn't, cool we will have a great team.

Not saying it is gonna happen but the key words are supposedly said. If he does come back, he will be the most hated player in UT history from some of you. I just hope he finds what he is needing in life and makes him happy.
I have asked multiple players what he actually said in dugout and most did not hear what many of you are quoting. Not saying he did not say it but that is not what many of the active players actually heard him say.

Yep. The room was yet to be read. Tough. Never thought I’d see the vitriol. We deserve our reputation as a fan base of eating our own. Not all, but certainly a certain faction.
