If Holman goes to lsu it’s not ideal, but it just shows what it takes to play with the big boys. In the end we’re still on more of an ACC level than an SEC level when it comes to stadium and facilities. And when the team you’re battling with is coming off a natty your job gets that much harder. Lack of investment in the program for 15 years put us in a hole, it’s not one that can be dug out of overnight

I concur with your post. However he's a volunteer until he's not.😃

Didn't Holman say he and his fam were taking the weekend to think about it. So it would be tomorrow at the earliest?

How was the crowd today? We’ll be there tomorrow and hoping a weekday tames things down some. Dollywood was a zoo on Saturday; hadn’t been in 14 years and didn’t remember it being that crazy.

It was pretty crowded today but manageable. Monday should be better. We NEVER go to either Dolly or splash on a Saturday, it gets crazy! We usually go on Sunday and get there right when they open (or even earlier since they let people in early).

Dollywood and Splash Country should be a madhouse this week people vacationing last week or two before school starts!!!

The last part explains how one of the coasters had a 45 min wait, 15 min after “opening”.

“Visits are all wrapped up and Luke is continuing to get away from the situation to make his decision this week. As of now, a decision will likely come by Thursday at the latest. He and the family want to wrap this thing up and have put Thursday as a deadline for themselves. Luke has seen everything, heard everything - so there's really not much more the programs can do. Tennessee (again) knocked it out of the park last week with an all-day Monday visit. They entered the week as the leader and held that title after the visit. It was all about surviving the week as more visits were to come. Tennessee survived it as Holman did not commit on the spot anywhere, but at this point, Vols and LSU are neck-and-neck with Mississippi State running third.

As mentioned, they've heard all the pitches, met all the coaches, seen all the resources, etc. - I believe a large portion of this will come down to player relationships. Holman knows no one at Mississippi State. His best friend at Alabama [Kade Woods] has transferred to LSU. That's obviously something, however, do not discount what Drew Beam has done this summer. Beam has never shied away from his recruiting pitch, essentially being 'come here and let's go be great together - let's make each other better in the rotation.' Beam has been huge in this and could be what makes the difference if he chooses Tennessee.

Again, Holman really likes Tennessee and TV and Frank Anderson's approach. He loves Q, as adding weight is really important for him over the next year before the draft. Tennessee has the advantage there, imo. We are right where we were when this thing started: Tennessee or LSU. And a decision will come this week imo” - Eric Cain

Pretty lengthy update from Eric Cain on VQ a few minutes ago. The Holman family has set a deadline of Thursday for Luke to make a decision. Tennessee and LSU are running neck and neck. He said this will likely come down to relationships and where Luke feels most comfortable. He said Alabama’s Kade Woods is Hollman’s best friend and he recently transferred to LSU, but not to discount just how big Drew Beam has been in this recruitment and how close the two have become.

He then mentioned again about Holman really liking TV and the emphasis on strength and conditioning. Sounds like a coin flip.

Congrats to LSU.

The linked article. His best friend is there. They have a bigger bag (see our failed recruitment of Skenes and Tanks). They just won a natty.

Cain said last week he didn’t think NIL was a big factor and my best friend went to Tennessee Tech for college but I didn’t follow him there. You’re just being pessimistic.
