Ooooooooooo.... all them stars!!!

Pretty sure Heupel will target only those players that fit in his system. Seems this starts with a high Wonderlic scoring type.

All those stars gone out the door on D this year (there's no place like home, TOTO!), yet our D is playing sooooooo much better.

Brains. Be. Good.
Yep. Seems like how Barnes built his early teams...then build on the success and recruits come.

The one who was 3rd string under 2 different coaching staffs? Must be an all-star!

Coaches don't always get it right. Not sure if memory is right but did Brett Favre, Aaron Rogers, and Tom Brady ride the bench behind other QBs before getting their chances? And periodically, a throw away QB goes elsewhere and plays lights out. Justin Fields, Baker Mayfield, Max Hall, Riley Ferguson to name a few. So yep, a QB who gets ignored by a HC can be an all-star. That stuff happens.

Favre didn't. Unless you count that one season in Atlanta, and once getting to Green Bay, Ron Wolf had faith in him. You can read the rest yourself. There is more to the story than you, and thanks to me looking it up, I were aware of. But if you are referring to his time at Southern Miss? Yeah he did.

Brett Favre - Wikipedia

Rodgers actually did have a long wait until Favre moved on. As to Brady, he was not that highly regarded coming out of college, and his combine was not all that good. So he went to the Patriots in the sixth round. He was not behind Drew Bledsoe for long. But once he got his shot, Drew's days were done.

I'm not saying it will happen, but saw a post somewhere saying that Myles Brennan (LSU) may hit the portal due to O being gone and getting passed up on the depth chart. If he does, given his injury history and with us losing HB.....do we at least kick the tires??

But, but, we can't take any of that bunch of quitters and running out on their team mates.
I would be hesitant to take a player who walked out on his team at this particular point of the season.

The rules allow guys to transfer now without penalty. So when the season is over... fair game.

1) Pass Rusher
2) Pass Rusher
3) Linebacker
4) OT
5) RB
6) DT
Going to need a QB too I imagine. Not sure about his options but I don't think Milton will hang around to be a career back up even if he has to try FCS.

Is this your priority list? I would put OT #1 for sure. Cade is gone after this year and we have no depth already. Next I would put ILB
Depth was probably more a lack of develop more than a lack of bodies. I believe Carvin may be gone as well.

Some of the guys who've been eating good training table food for a couple of years have to step up.
