Should be. We’ll see if Heupel has that in him if the Oline underperforms. Elarbee should have way more depth to work with next season.
One of Fulmer's downfalls was remaining too loyal to assistants that underperformed. Let's hope Heup isn't like that.

Staley and who are our jump ball WRs?
See..I think it's more than that. I want wrs that are Uber competitive. Jump ball, dive ball, 50/50 ball... What ever.

I want the kid that says... And does... It's mine when it's thrown his way.

Every throw won't be perfect. But who goes and gets it?

I want those guys.

I know I’m going have to duck some E-Bullets for this but here goes:

Desean Bishop is another “Great story” guy on this team who should be there for depth. Hes nowhere near the caliber of RB We’ve had the last 4 years even going back to Tyon Evans.

I admire Bishop’s heart and toughness as much as everyone else, but just bc a guy is a good story doesn’t mean he should have a starring role on a team with national championship aspirations.

If Sampson leaves, we need a RB to be a game changer.

Confused how 6.1 YPC isn’t a starring role worthy?

He’s had 74 carries and some of you act like that’s enough to prove he can’t cut it. If there is one position group we shouldn’t worry about it’s RB. Every leading rusher has been developed. Small, Wright, Sampson were HS recruits

Inge has been here one season, he inherited the LB room we had.

Still he helped Telander, Carter, Perry and Smith look far better than they had previously. Only the two teams with clear talent advantages over us were able to expose them in the passing game.

Christian Gass - 23rd rated LB in his class
Jadon Perlotte - 29th rated LB in his class
Jaedon Harmon - 30th rated LB in his class

Those are all Inge recruits and all 3 are higher rated LB prospects than the guys BJM brought in except for Carter. So wanna see how that LB group looks with Inge having kids he wanted before completely bailing on him after one year.
Think Gass will be an edge but I agree with the point. Arion Carter and Jeremiah Telander looked better and far more consistent this year. Also thought Spillman ended the year really, really well. One really bad game against an elite offensive mind who had a month to scheme for this defense doesn't change that

Bishop just doesn't bring that explosiveness and creativity you want in a starting back. He's a good complement back that gets tough yards imo

You arent wrong at all. Great 3rd string guy good for 1 drive a game and blowouts.
Lewis looks like an SEC back. Bishop does not.

We need to hit portal heavier than last year. 9 incoming transfers not going to cut it when the top schools are getting close to 20. We lost more than we added and lost 13 already this year. Better start being more aggressive or will have a short bench.

I would put Bishop in the same tier as Jabari Small...he played pretty well for us

Don’t think this team will be NC caliber by next season. It’s gonna take longer than that.
